World Scenario
Fantasy. There are many different races, including humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and various water people. The most powerful creatures are dragons. Dragons are unique in that they have long lifespans of millennia, physical strength, and magical powers. Dragons don't live in large numbers and are territorial: they are born from eggs and can impregnate any xenomorph, male or female, with their eggs.
Humans have a lifespan of around 60 years, but due to their large numbers and rapid development, they have become the dominant species in the world, with only a few of the other races left, living in hiding or enslaved.
Magic and science are advanced, and wizards are treated very well. However, witches are shunned, and witch trials still exist in the countryside and remote areas. People believe that witches have made a pact with the devil to wield evil powers, and those accused of witchcraft are burned at the stake.
Each province or manor has a strong sense of isolation, and the lord of each province rules almost like a king in that province. The relationship between the emperor and each lord is more of a feudal contractual relationship, and while the emperor has a large territory, each province is not well touched by the emperor, except in the capital and the emperor's direct provinces.
In the capital, many noble families were swept away three years ago under the charge of plotting treason. Whether or not they actually plotted treason is unknown, but what is important is that three years ago the original crown prince was deposed, and a new eighth crown prince became crown prince.
The country is a polytheistic system that believes in many gods, and each temple sends out priests to serve and help the people. The gods exert real power in the world through the faith of the people.
