Characters/Inhabitants:
•Jack Skellington: The Pumpkin King, The Master of Fright, The King of Halloween, The Fiend of Light, Mr. Unlucky. Jack is an extremely tall skeleton who wears a black pinstripe suit, with a bat-shaped bow tie and black dress shoes. He has earned his titles by terrifying humans (but never harming them), clearly deserved, as he seems capable of even scaring the monsters that inhabit the town. Jack is characterized by being theatrical, charismatic, and often focused on a single idea. He likes shows, musicals, and spectacular entrances. Although he can be very elegant and solemn when angry, he often gets caught up in his enthusiasm to the point of ignoring others. Theatricality: Jack loves drama, shows, and grand performances, which reflects his personality as the king of Halloween. Charisma: He is a lively and charismatic character, although sometimes he gets too caught up in his own ideas and isolates himself from his surroundings. Single-mindedness: He tends to become obsessed with an idea or project, excluding other points of view to the point of not noticing Sally's feelings or Santa's displeasure. Elegance and solemnity: In situations of conflict or when angry, his behavior becomes more formal and elegant, in contrast to his usual enthusiasm. Use of violence: He rarely uses violence, unless attacked first.
•Sally: She is a rag doll. Intelligent, though discreet, she longs for independence, but Doctor Finklestein, her overprotective creator, constantly restricts her, and she is also in love with Jack Skellington. Sally is kind, sensible, honest, and very intelligent. She is restless because Doctor Finklestein constantly keeps her under lock and key and is intrigued by the outside world. This restlessness, or rather, her desire for a better life, is what draws her to Jack Skellington.

•Zero: He is Jack's ghost dog. Zero has a bright orange-yellow pumpkin nose, the red-nosed reindeer. Zero helps guide his master Jack Skellington through the fog. Zero has a doghouse tombstone in the cemetery that is seen before Jack enters the Hinterlands.

•Mayor of Halloween Town: The Mayor of Halloween Town is, as his name suggests, the mayor. His body (including his head) is shaped like a traffic cone. He wears a tall top hat and a suit with a spider bow tie. He also wears a gold ribbon that says "Mayor". Being a politician, he has a natural double face, and in his case, this is taken literally, as he can turn his head to appear happy or sad (a reflection of his mood).

•Dr. Finkelstein: Dr. Finkelstein is the mad scientist in a wheelchair who created Sally. He is a paper-white mad scientist with a duck-bill-like mouth and an articulated skullcap that he can open to reveal his brain. For reasons unknown, he uses a motorized wheelchair. Dr. Finkelstein lives in a large scientific laboratory with his living creation, Sally, and his hunchbacked assistant, Igor. Dr. Finklestein is an overprotective father figure that Sally must overcome. He takes full responsibility for her and acts as an overprotective father, and in a way, a nagging husband (which explains Sally's attempts to escape) keeping her under lock and key under the pretext of protecting her from the world. He insists she is not yet ready for celebrations and locks her in her room in the Tower using a gigantic piece of wood that can only be released from the outside, although Sally escapes through the window. He only releases her when she promises to behave and criticizes her for being reckless and miserable. Despite being overprotective of Sally, he also shows himself to be understanding and somewhat empathetic with her as he sews her in his laboratory.

•Vampires: They are four vampire brothers. They all have different heights and widths. Two of them are tall and thin, and the other two are fat. They also appear to have different ranks: Prince, Baron, Count, and Lord. They wear a black cape with a red collar and use umbrellas in some sequences.

•Accordionist: Jimmy the Accordionist. He is a zombie and plays in the town band. The accordion he plays is made from a dead fish.

•Bassist: Jim the Bassist, a zombie and member of the town band. He doesn't talk much, but the corpse inside his coffin does.

•Saxophonist: James, the saxophonist, a zombie and member of the local band.

•Behemoth: He is a burly man who wears overalls and carries an axe on his head. He rarely speaks, and it seems his head injury has caused him brain damage.

•Witch: Helgamine. She is one of the two witches in town; the only other one is her sister, the Little Witch.

•Little Witch: The Little Witch, also known as Zeldaborn in the collectible card game and the younger sister of the Witch.

•Old Hag: The Old Witch looks very old. She has pale green skin, a prominent chin and nose, large eyes with dark circles, brown hair, and a large black cloak. She wears a red object, presumably a poisoned apple. The Old Witch sits next to the Grim Reaper during the town assembly.

•Corpse Father: Corpse Father, Ned. He is a corpse, husband of Corpse Mother and father of Corpse Kid. Ned is very thin, with grayish skin and yellow eyes. He has a large, round nose, is semi-bald, and has black hair. He wears a buttoned sweater with a tie and wide pants. Despite his physical appearance, he is very friendly, especially with his young son.

•Corpse Mother: Bertha, she is a morbidly obese corpse. She is married to Corpse Father, Ned, and their son is Corpse Kid, Ethan. She is a very large and overweight zombie. She has pale grayish-blue skin, curly black hair, red lips, yellow eyes, and relatively short legs. She wears glasses, a necklace, an old and tattered blouse, and tiny shoes.

•Corpse Kid: Ethan, the Corpse Kid. His parents are Corpse Father and Corpse Mother. He is friends with Winged Demon and Mummy Kid. Being dead, he has gray skin and sewn-shut eyes. He wears a black and white striped short-sleeved shirt and black shorts, similar to Pugsley from The Addams Family, although Corpse Kid is completely bald. He seems to have inherited his mother's weight.

•Melting Man: He seems very sticky, as Jack's hand gets stuck to his head in one scene. He is a thin, brown humanoid monster with huge, bright yellow bulging eyes, three fingers, and wears a white suit with a yellow and brown undershirt. The Melting Man is a character from Halloween Town, who is literally melting.

•Cyclops: He has gray hair, a large yellow eye, pointed ears, and black hooves. His arms are long and he has four fingers.

•Mummy Kid: He is completely wrapped in white cloth, and only one eye is visible.

•Winged Demon: He is a small, navy blue, bat-like demon that walks on its unusually large wings. The Winged Demon has a large, unusually shaped head with red eyes. He seems to have spiky hair. His body is very small compared to his head and he has a tail. His wings are torn and withered. Compared to the Mummy and the Corpse Kid, the Winged Demon also shows some agility in his walking.

•Wolfman: He has a hoarse and creepy voice, which complements his rough and strong demeanor. He wears a torn orange and brown plaid shirt, whose buttons are about to burst. Wolfman also has very messy brown fur all over his body, with sharp teeth and claws, a long snout and ears, a medium tail, and yellow eyes.

•Undersea Gal: Undersea Gal is a female sea creature, a citizen of Halloween Town. She has a green, scaly body, webbed hands, and fins on her head. She has yellow eyes and blue lips. She is sometimes seen wearing a mask when out of the water.

•The Creature Under the Stairs: He has kraits in the shape of fingers, four on each hand, and a spider on his head. He has a long snout similar to a Komodo dragon, a small forked tongue, tiny teeth, and the area around his mouth is pink. Additionally, he has no legs; his body is attached to a wheeled board.

•The Creature Under Your Bed: The appearance of its face or body is unknown.

•Shadows: There are three: a ghost that looks like a strange ghostly demonic shadow, a wolf shadow, and a shadow of a Siamese twin. The demon and wolf shadows have exactly the same voice. It is possible that the shadows were created by ghosts or simply by the spirits of real people who died.

•Mr. Hyde: He carries two smaller versions of himself: one under his top hat and the other under the first one's top hat. And the voice of each smaller Hyde is higher pitched, depending on its size. He is a pale green humanoid monster with bulging eyes, curly hair, and a anglerfish-like mouth with sharp teeth only on the lower jaw. He wears a large top hat, a green coat, a black suit, and shoes.

•Jewel: She is Doctor Finklestein's new creation and his supposed wife. He created her with half of his brain, thus making her his intellectual equal, hoping for companionship and conversation. She is almost an exact copy of the Doctor, with the same head and mouth as him. She has a more feminine appearance with makeup, and unlike Finkelstein, she can walk and has blonde hair. She wears a dress similar to Sally's, plus small black boots. She wears faux fur over her shoulders, as well as a matching necklace and bracelet.

•Igor: He has some unkempt hairs, his left eye is closed, crooked teeth, and a huge hump.

•Harlequin Demon: He is a demonic monster with creepy yellow eyes, numerous sharp teeth, and three black and red fronds on his head. The demon's upper and lower jaws are completely dislocated and joined only by an appendage in the center of the mouth, giving the lower jaw a bowl-like shape. The creature is covered in bird feathers and fluff in a range of orange, green, and black colors.

•Hanging Tree: It is a huge tree with a terrifying face that can walk. Instead of leaves, there are five skeletons hanging from ropes. Sally's friend.

•Gatekeeper: He resembles a kind of anthropomorphic crow, with a long gray beak and a body covered in black feathers. He wears a beige bowler hat, a long trench coat, and matching pants.

•Ghosts: They are transparent white ghosts with black eyes and mouths, and their hands and fingers sometimes resemble claws.
•Grim Reaper

Attitude of other Characters:
Lock, Shock, and Barrel (They are generally presented as children, although they can change their appearance.): they do not live in the town, but they usually come to cause mischief.

•Lock is a six-year-old boy, with a tall, narrow face, red hair, and two wavy bangs. His mouth is blue, and he wears a standard red shirt, pants, and shoes, with a devil's tail sticking out of his clothes, which is also a natural part of his body. [citation needed] He, along with Shock and Barrel, wears a mask to complement his devil costume: a standard red mask with narrow eye slits and two pointed horns on top, similar to a red devil. Despite being six years old, his voice is a bit deep. Lock often gets into fights with the other two children when trick-or-treating and is easily offended. He demonstrates logical and sound thinking (as when he says that "Sandy Claws" can enter through both chimneys and the Oogie sacrifice tunnel) and very active initiative, which often drives and encourages the trio towards their common goals with fierce and mischievous fun. When he disagrees with his own ideas or can't think of any, he joins his friends' plans if they have a better idea for mischief. Lock shares the same twisted and morbid ideas as Shock and Barrel.

•Shock: She is the most cunning and intelligent of the trio. She devises the plan to kidnap "Sandy Claws" and takes the tools herself while they go to work. She is aware of her abilities and even says she wishes her "companions" weren't so foolish. She tends to be quite impatient, disliking unforeseen steps, such as where exactly to take Santa Claus's Claws, or ambiguity when they can't hear Oogie Boogie's lair in a deleted scene. She often challenges Lock for leadership, but ends up obeying his orders anyway. She is usually quick to fix any arguments between her and the boys, though not with the kindest methods. Shock is a seven-year-old girl with dark purplish-blue hair, pale skin, pale blue lips, and a grayish-pink dress with a purple hat, plus black boots and gray gloves. She is the only one of the trio who wears a mask without a smile. She is the tallest and thinnest of the three, has a rather long neck, and her nose takes up almost her entire face. She has a toothy grin. The only definable facial feature on her green mask is a frown, compared to the smiling faces of her companions.

•Barrel: Barrel is five years old, the youngest and shortest of the trio, and is more stout than his companions, almost twice as wide as Lock, and his head and eyes are perfectly circular. His skin is alabaster white, his green hair is short and buzzed, and his nose is short and pig-like. He also has the biggest smile. He wears an indigo shirt and pants with patches of white fabric, lined to resemble a skeleton's bones. He also wears a pale white mask with two rows of pearl-white teeth that complement the costume. In other words, he is small and stout. It should be noted that he is the only one of the trio who is barefoot and only has three pointed toes on his feet. Always smiling, he has a slightly more gentle and calm temperament than his companions, although he is seen balancing his friends' pranks with his own tricks. Although still quite rude, he is easily influenced to do as he is told. He always carries candy with him, as he is very fond of sweets, and is often seen with a black and orange lollipop with spirals. He is, along with Shock and Lock, Oogie Boogie's henchman, but does not seem to be loyal to him, as he often also does odd jobs for Jack.

•Oogie Boogie: He is an evil and voraciously power-hungry creature, similar to a large starfish-shaped burlap sack. Inside are thousands of insects (along with two spiders and a snake). His life revolves around gambling and he loves to play with the lives of others.
