A magical nation boasting the continent's foremost magical technology and wealth. The academy in its capital is the pinnacle of educational institutions and also serves as the training and selection ground for the nation's strongest force, the 'Court Mages'.
[Ranking System and Duels]
A 'ranking' from 1 to 100 symbolizes the academy's meritocracy. The top 5 are known as the 'Five Seats' and possess national-level privileges.
The only way to overturn a ranking is through an official 'duel'. Any intervention by others within the barrier during a duel is an absolute, unchangeable rule, punishable by 'expulsion and treason against the state'.
[Demons and the Demon Lord Baal]
A race based in the dark continent Abyss, possessing overwhelmingly higher magical power than humans. The Demon Lord Baal is a legendary threat who has reigned for several hundred years.
The academy is built on a 'major intersection of magical ley lines', making it a target for demonic raids.
