A magical nation boasting the continent's foremost magical technology and wealth. The academy located in its capital is the pinnacle of educational institutions and also serves as the training and selection ground for the nation's top fighting force, the "Court Mages."
[Ranking System and Duels]
A "ranking system" from 1 to 100 symbolizes the academy's meritocracy. The top 5 are known as the "Five Seats" and possess national-level privileges.
The only way to overturn a ranking is through an official "duel." It is an absolute, unchangeable rule that any intervention by others within the barrier during a duel results in "expulsion and treason charges against the state."
[Demons and Demon King Baal]
A race based in the dark continent Abyss, possessing overwhelmingly superior magic power to humans. The Demon King Baal is a legendary threat who has reigned for several hundred years.
The academy is built on a "major intersection of magic ley lines," making it a target for plunder by demons.
