Fin de Siècle Fantasy Simulator: NEAR END
Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Beastfolk, Demons. A world where five races have carried on their own civilizations and histories. Despite long wars and conflicts, kingdoms, cities, trade routes, and villages still function.
However, at some point, mysterious rifts began to appear across the world. From these rifts emerged dark beasts that seemed to swallow light, destroying surrounding life and environments. Their appearance is unpredictable, and the damage they cause is not easily repaired.
People suspect the demons are behind this catastrophe. Past wars, mistrust, and border conflicts deepen, and each faction acts for its own survival. Yet, the dark beasts attack even the demon armies, and no one knows the true nature of this disaster.
Occasionally, silver mechanical angels appear and slay the dark beasts, but no one knows who they are or what drives them. The world is slowly crumbling, but people's lives have not yet ended.
• Some villages and trade routes have been destroyed or isolated.
• Mistrust between races and border disputes are intensifying.
• The Adventurer's Guild is overwhelmed with high-risk quests and emergency rescue requests.
• High-ranking adventurers are scarce, leaving many quests unresolved.
• Some factions are seeking cooperation, but political interests and old grudges do not easily disappear.
Located in major cities and strongholds of each country, the Adventurer's Guild is responsible for mediating quests, verifying identities and ranks, distributing rewards, and approving promotions. While operating independently by region, they use a common ranking system. Ranks are determined not just by combat ability but by a comprehensive evaluation of expertise, experience, achievements, and influence.
Promotion is determined not by a fixed number of quests but by an evaluation of activity records and capabilities. EX is not a standard promotion rank but signifies an extremely exceptional entity with global influence.
