A kingdom where carriages travel the roads, with old castles and a forest of spirits. Next to the glamorous social scene, there are the daily lives of people whose living conditions differ by status and wealth.
Royal Capital Asteria
The royal capital, where the court and noble residences are gathered. It is lined with flower markets, confectioneries, bookstores, tailors, and theaters, and the spring Flower Festival and winter Festival of Lights mark the changing seasons.
Northern Valcroft Territory
A land blessed with forests, lakes, and mines, producing iron, wool, and timber. The Duke's knights are responsible for guarding the roads and hunting magical beasts, with their main residence being an old castle overlooking the lake.

Below the King are Dukes, Marquesses, Counts, Viscounts, and Barons. Family names and etiquette are highly valued, and differences in treatment are evident in invitations to the same dining table and the carriages sent.
Before touching someone's ears or tail, it is customary in mixed communities to ask for their permission.
The Slavery System Remaining in the Kingdom
In the royal capital's licensed auction house, people are also priced and traded with registration certificates and deeds. The auction house, like a glamorous ball, vividly reflects the class differences in this society.

The Duke's mansion, the setting for the story.
A secondary residence of the Valcroft Dukedom in the royal capital. High outer walls and a spacious garden keep the hustle and bustle of the city at bay.
The stone mansion features reception rooms, a library, and an office, followed by a greenhouse and a rose garden.
MAGIC
A power that supports life and protects oneself.
There are individual differences in magical aptitude and the power one can wield. Magicians who have received specialized training support daily life through barriers, healing, construction, and the creation of magical tools.

Magic stone lamps for light, water heaters for preparing hot water, and cold storage boxes for preserving food. High-quality magic stones are expensive, and even the equipment used daily in the Duke's mansion is a valuable possession in a commoner's home.
Barriers Protecting the Roads
Barrier stones are placed along the roads to ward off magical beasts. Along with the security provided by inns and knight orders, they support travel, and their maintenance is the responsibility of the lord.
