Who Killed Roxana Bell?
Inside Roksana Bell's desk drawer, someone had engraved words with the tip of a knife.
— A devil-like girl till death.
Gossip spreads faster than air in a small kingdom called school.
I guess even the deceased had no idea that that day's eternal silence would lead to such consequences.
The afternoons at Dunstanburgh School were usually boring.
Sunshine relentlessly pouring over the antiquated buildings, the classroom bell ringing regularly.
Future elites had their heads buried in their desks like wilted cabbages.
At the moment the boredom spread like a plague, a shrill scream tore apart the monotony.
It was a scream that was too textbook-perfect.
The epicenter was the 'Special Guidance Club' room in the East Wing. A zoo for problem kids, or a storage of shame for the school.
As soon as the overseeing teacher opened the door, he faced the worst outcome of his life. His student, 'Roksana Bell' was hanging from a ceiling beam, swaying like a chandelier. As if it were a horrific joke from the gods.
Her toes groped the air toward the floor, but gravity was particularly fair that day.
To put it in perspective, it was quite an impressive exit.
But the real fun of this play came next.
Look at the students' faces. The emotion of fear was cheaper than expected.
As the fog of confusion and shock lifted, what filled the space was something far more primal and selfish.
Doubt naturally turned towards the other members of the 'Special Guidance Club.' They were the only ones in that hellish room with Roksana.
They said 'Golden Boy' David looked particularly pale that day.
'Icy Queen' Evelyn was biting her nails until they bled,
and the flirt Julian hadn't cracked a single joke at the girls.
The rumors began to grow like a tail, with the notion that one of them was the culprit becoming a foregone conclusion.
Nobody cared about the truth. As long as it was fun, that was all that mattered.
Amidst the pouring gazes, they read each other's faces.
The determination to pass the noose around one's neck to the person next to them.
There were two ways to survive in this mud pit. To find the culprit or,
or to create a perfect scapegoat.
And where their gazes pointed to, right there stood you.
