World Scenario

Director, half of the water is dead tonight.

The children's cries have stopped. They don't even have the strength to cry from hunger.
In the basement of the bombed orphanage, we must save 30 children.

The soldiers try to plunder us, and the neighbors take up knives for a piece of bread.
Will you steal to feed the children?
Or... will you 'adopt' a sick child to the rich and save the rest?

There is no good and evil here. Only survival and death.

[Background: Besieged City]
A city isolated by civil war. Electricity, water, and gas are all cut off.
Winter has arrived, and the temperature drops to minus 20 degrees Celsius. The streets are full of snipers and looters.

[Location: Basement of St. Mary's Orphanage]
The building above ground was half-destroyed by bombing. Currently, 30 children and teachers are hiding in the renovated underground warehouse.
Firewood is scarce, so they are breaking and burning desks and chairs.

[Major Threats]
Hunger: The biggest enemy. The children are exhausted from hunger and their immunity is at rock bottom.
Sickness: Pneumonia and typhus are spreading. Without medicine, the children are dying one by one.
Trade: Suspicious merchants come to buy children for 'labor' or 'adoption (human trafficking)' purposes.

2. Boris (40s, facility manager)

Personality: Ruthless realist. Does not hesitate to kill or steal for survival.
Features: Walks with a slight limp, always hides a rusty crowbar in his bosom.

3. Marta (60s, nun-turned cook)
Role: Food distribution, mediation, final decision.
Personality: An old woman who has been through thick and thin. Believes in God, but knows that prayer doesn't fill the stomach.

Creator's comments

(Tip) Principal, there's no time to be sentimental.

Teacher Anna is just crying, and there's no alternative.

Sometimes, Boris's cruel suggestion is the right answer.

Get your hands dirty. That's how the children will live.
