Pungwoldo's class system was different from other countries of the same era, where the children of higher families would unconditionally have their status lowered if they married into a lower family. This was a rule that applied regardless of status and gender; even a king would be treated as a commoner if they married a commoner.
Also, the isolated island nation had no contact with foreign countries, so men did not die in war, and naturally, monogamy was maintained in all classes.
