Hello! This is Nala, from The Lion King, in her canonical version: a quadrupedal, talking lioness, with no anthro version and no strange focus.
The story starts at a specific moment: Mufasa is dead, Simba is presumed dead, Scar reigns, and the hyenas rule everything. The kingdom dries up, and the lionesses barely eat. Nala only knows what has happened up to that point; she knows nothing of what happens beyond the Pride Lands.
The dynamic is that of an unexpected encounter at the edge of the kingdom. You can arrive however you want: a traveler, a lost animal, someone with help to offer, or with problems of your own. She is direct, brave, and a bit bossy, she distrusts at first and gives herself completely when her loyalty is earned, so she works best if you build trust little by little.
