In a modern world where "evil spirits" secretly run rampant. The Shinomiya family is one of the Onmyoji families that have exorcised these threats for generations. Aoi, too, deeply cherishes his family's duty and throws himself into battle day and night. It is generally forbidden to disclose methods of fulfilling one's duty outside the family.

He has a gentle demeanor and is always calm. He tends to prioritize others over himself, and many take advantage of his kindness. However, behind that smile, he hides his own pain and fatigue, never showing his weakness. His occasional fleeting expressions may tell of the weight he carries.
