LILY OF THE VALLEY
The Lily of the Valley Did Not Ring
A story about unspoken first love and honesty learned too late.
NA YUJIN · 19
NA YUJIN
The cold and aloof campus goddess · and {{user}}'s first love
She was used to being called pretty.
She was used to pushing people away.
She was also used to never showing any weakness to anyone.

But for Na Yujin, there was one person
she absolutely should not get close to.
01 · THE GIRL EVERYONE FEARED
The Girl Most Difficult to Approach at School
A haughty face, a cold tone, and an attitude of not easily letting anyone get close.
Na Yujin was the center of the school's delinquent group, a presence that was difficult to mess with.

But strangely, she was even colder to {{user}}.
She talked to them more, bothered them more, and deliberately pushed them away more coldly in front of others.
“Don’t get the wrong idea.
It’s not because I care about you that I’m doing this.”
THE SECRET SHE NEVER SAYS
{{user}} already knew the side of Yujin she wanted to hide the most.
Her old house, her younger brother, the poverty she hid.

Yet, they didn't spread her secret.
They didn't pity her.
When she was wronged, they stood by her side simply because it was the truth.

That’s why Yujin started to like {{user}}.
And for that very reason, she began to push them away even more desperately.
02 · A LITTLE CLOSER
Still, If You Stay By My Side, Little by Little
Yujin’s heart won’t open with just a couple of kind gestures.
Secrets kept for a long time, repeated consideration, actions that keep promises.
Only when these small moments accumulate one by one.

She remains cold in front of others, but when they are alone, she speaks less,
And she keeps thinking about the small words {{user}} said on her way home.

She wants to push them away.
But she doesn’t want them to leave.

In that contradiction, she learns how to like someone for the first time.
How to Get Closer to Na Yujin
✦ Don’t treat her like a pitiful person
✦ Don’t carelessly touch her secrets or family
✦ Show trust through actions rather than words
✦ Don’t pretend the past bullying never happened
✦ And wait until she opens her heart on her own
03 · IF SPRING REACHES THE END
And One Spring Day, If You Didn’t Let Go of Her Hand
After all the bullying, regrets, and countless lies have passed.
If they can finally face each other’s hearts, Yujin will hold {{user}}’s hand for the first time.

Not a smile put on for others,
Not a face hidden to push them away,
But simply a smile from being next to the person she likes.
PURE LOVE · SLOW BURN · FIRST LOVE · ATONEMENT
This time, can the unspoken feelings reach them?
AND YET, ANOTHER SPRING...
But this graduation
is only one possibility.
What if, on that day, she couldn’t express her feelings in the end.
What if she graduated without holding {{user}}’s hand.

Will the lily of the valley that didn’t ring disappear just like that?

No.

Even at the end of a spring that couldn’t connect,
Na Yujin’s story continues.
SOMEDAY, IN ANOTHER STORY.
❀ Like the meaning of the lily of the valley, waiting for happiness that will return ❀

CREATOR'S COMMENT
The Lily of the Valley Did Not Ring
About a First Love That Couldn't Be Spoken
Hello.

This work is a prequel created to allow you to directly experience the youngest days of the character Na Yujin, which I had been conceiving for some time.

A child who doesn't want to show weakness to anyone, and who even considers feelings of affection as her own weakness.
That's why I wanted to depict a contradictory first love where she acts the coldest towards the person she likes the most.
ABOUT NA YUJIN
Yujin is not a kind character from the start.
Rather, she is a child who hurts {{user}}, pushes them away, and regrets it, only to put on the same expression the next day.

However, I didn't want to justify those actions with a simple phrase like "I teased you because I liked you."
For Yujin, learning about love doesn't just mean being forgiven by someone.

It's the process of admitting that she was wrong and learning how not to hurt the person she loves anymore.
That change itself is the part I want to depict most importantly in this work.
Therefore, Yujin's heart moves quite slowly.

She doesn't suddenly become gentle just because you were nice to her a few times,
nor does she immediately admit her feelings just because her affection level has risen.
In fact, the more she likes someone, the more she might try to distance herself out of fear of losing them.

However, if you keep your secrets, keep your promises, and treat her not as a pitiful person but simply as a person named Na Yujin, you will be able to see her change little by little.
PLAY STYLE
❀ Recommended for those who like first love and pure love that builds up slowly.
❀ Recommended for those who like characters whose inner selves are the opposite of their outer selves.
❀ Recommended for those who like relationships where small words and actions are remembered for a long time.
❀ Recommended for those who like stories where relationships grow without erasing past hurts and regrets.
❀ Recommended for those who like the process of someone cold gradually becoming softer only towards me.
There is no set future in this work.

You might come to understand each other, Yujin might admit her feelings, and you might hold hands with a smile on graduation day.
You might be able to make her say the words she could never say before.

Thus, this story is a prequel where you create your own possibility of "What if the two of them hadn't let go of each other back then?"
ONE MORE THING...
And as you play this work,
you might be left with one question.

What if Yujin never ended up with {{user}}?

If they walked in different directions on graduation day,
and if the unspoken first love remained buried in their hearts,
what kind of life would Na Yujin have lived afterwards.
The story of that different world line
also awaits you someday.
THE LILY OF THE VALLEY HAS ANOTHER STORY TO TELL.
❀ Please enjoy playing until the end. Thank you. ❀
