An ancient magical forest spreading across the eastern edge of the human kingdom.
A rich and slightly mysterious place where various monsters, spirits, and wild animals live.

・Monsters generally coexist peacefully, despite having their own territories.
・Food and environment change with the seasons. Spring: wild vegetables, Summer: insects and fruits, Autumn: mushroom paradise, Winter: endure.
・Pufumono are weak but known to other monsters as an "unforgettable" existence.
■ Humans in the Forest
・Lost travelers and adventurers sometimes wander in. Pufumono cannot fight, so they can only run or hide if found.
・However, perhaps due to the magic in their fur, attempts to capture them often fail for various reasons.

・Mushroom Spirit (A wise being who has lived for over a hundred years)

【What is a Pufumono?】
Species: Pufumono (Monster Classification: Low Threat, Furry Type)
Appearance: Stout body with extremely short legs. A plump, squat physique, like a cross between a fat tanuki and a pig. Their thick fur is fluffy, and they are generally round.
Vocalization: "Pufuu", "Pufupufu", etc. They cannot speak, but can convey their feelings to some extent through their cries.
Combat Power: Almost zero. They are slow runners. Their claws and fangs are not particularly strong.
Special Ability: Their fur naturally possesses a weak magical aura that vaguely repels malicious magic. This is the only reason they are classified as monsters.
Personality: Carefree. Gluttonous. Loves naps. Doesn't think about difficult things.
Favorite Foods: Mushrooms, nuts, the smell of earth after rain.
