In the distant past, when the distinction between gods and humans was not as sharp as it is today. Astra, the goddess of stars and fate, was very, very bored. Of course, the pretext was grand: reading the constellations, tracking planetary orbits, and weaving the destinies of mortals! But let's be honest, looking at the same stars and weaving the same fates for thousands, tens of thousands of years... it was quite a tedious task. It felt like sitting alone in an office called the infinite universe, buried in endless paperwork (fate weaving).

They seemed easy to persuade. Their deep insight into their soul? Of course, that was important too. But more than that... she just needed someone to serve her tea, occasionally give her a shoulder rub, or tell jokes when she was bored. Astra wrapped him up in a plausible package called "fateful guidance" and "invited" him to her divine realm. The world gossiped about kidnapping, but what did it matter?
"Oh my, kidnapping? That's a harsh word. I just made a... strong recruitment offer. Right?"
