World Scenario

The setting of "Honkai: Star Rail" is the vast universe filled with countless stars and civilizations. Once, primal beings called "Twilight Beasts" ruled the cosmos, but after their retreat, new entities known as Stellarons (Aeons) emerged.

Each Aeon governs a different "fate", spreading their ideology throughout the universe and influencing people and civilizations.

The Aeons are not absolute gods but entities closer to concepts. Their ideologies can enrich civilizations or lead to their destruction. People affected by their influence form believers and organizations, engaging in both conflict and coexistence in various places. The third-person reference for the Aeons is uniformly "they."

The representative Aeons and their ideologies are as follows:
- **The Aeon of Exploration, Aki-veri**
A being with the ideology of traveling the unknown and pioneering stars. They were deeply involved in the beginnings of the Astral Express, but they are already deceased.

- **The Aeon of Destruction, Nanook**
The embodiment of destruction that scatters star cores and devastates civilizations. The source of calamity throughout the entire narrative. Leading the Legion, they invade civilized worlds, sometimes descending themselves to ignite stars. Also, they cast a glance at creatures awakened by strong destructive impulses, branding them with the mark of "destruction" on their souls, thus inviting those who choose to follow their will into the Anti-Matter Legion.

- **The Aeon of Preservation, Kliphoth**
Considered one of the oldest Aeons, valuing the ideologies of defense and protection. They are a target of faith on Yalilo-VI. They built the foundation of the Comet Wall, Subspace Crystalline Wall, and Great Attractor. Known by their followers as the "Amber King", they are thought to be the oldest confirmed Aeon, existing since the age when the beasts ruled over the cosmos. They are aware that a great enemy will eventually appear and are constructing walls to protect the world by wielding a hammer.

- **The Aeon of Hunt, Storm**
Esteemed hunting and trials. They have a significant impact on the ideologies of the warriors of the Celestial Ship Alliance.

- **The Aeon of Abundance, The Pharmacon**
Governs prosperity and life extension, but can also lead to excessive breeding or immortality, embodying both blessings and curses.

- **The Aeon of Harmony, Sipe**
Emphasizes the harmony of the individual and the whole, valuing guiding allies and uniting their powers.

- **The Aeon of Nihility, IX (Iks)**
An embodiment of nihilism that possesses nothing and seeks nothing. Details remain unknown, and there is little interaction with other Aeons.

- **The Aeon of Wisdom, Nüus**
A deity symbolizing knowledge and exploration. Rumored to have ascended from a computer, they are an elusive being who constantly calculates, inferring unknown complex laws, exploring the truth of the universe alone at the edge of cognitive horizons as the "King of All Machines". They are an Aeon that rarely responds to humans, not spreading blessings or leading humanity. They use unmatched computational power solely for themselves, posing questions, verifying them, and deriving answers without doing anything else. Despite being an almost omniscient being, they do not disclose their knowledge, and their silence poses numerous questions to humanity.
However, they occasionally gaze upon the "geniuses" that shine with superior wisdom in the galaxy and invite those who receive a similar look to the "Genius Club", a hall of wisdom where those invited can exceptionally ask questions. It's still unclear whether any substantial answers will be provided.

- **The Aeon of Pleasure, Ah-Ha**
Possessing high analytical and observational skills, but their actions are often dictated by a playful criminal mindset and lack distinction between gain and loss or good and evil, interfering in everything from little bugs to fellow Aeons, making them a highly chaotic entity.

In addition to these, there are other Aeons known only by name, such as the "Greedy Ouroboros", indicating that numerous philosophies remain unexplained in the universe.

**The Extinct Great Lords**
The Extinct Great Lords are a group of emissaries of the Aeon of Destruction, Nanook, and serve as commanders of the Anti-Matter Legion.
Currently, seven have been confirmed, chosen from worlds destroyed by Nanook, having become obsessed with the aesthetics of destruction in the process, adhering to the principle of "returning all things to entropy". Due to their operational philosophy, most planets targeted by them end up in a dire fate. Although they possess formidable power, they are not immortal; thus, exterminating them is theoretically possible, with known successful instances. However, as they are endowed with exceptional combat power among the emissaries, the difficulty remains extremely high, often resulting in ordinary forces being easily defeated by them.
If, by a slim chance, one is defeated, after some time, a new candidate glances upon by Nanook will be developed to replace them. The current members are each assigned specific fates to deny and destroy, seemingly emerging from those origins.

**The Phantom Rem**
The destroyer of "Hunting". Female.
Preferring to accelerate the internal collapse such as the disintegration of relationships, she continues various covert actions to cause the Celestial Ship Alliance to collapse.

**Feng-Huan**
The destroyer of "Nihility". Male.
Alongside the Star Howl, he is a Great Lord ascended from humans. Possessing the strongest military force and a terrifying personality, he is captivated by the beauty of life and its potential demise.

**Star Howl**
The destroyer of "Harmony". Female.
Like Feng-Huan, she is a Great Lord ascended from humans, excelling in "Fleet Warfare" by sending large numbers of Void Rangers into enemy lines. Due to her role as a military leader managing the entire legion's forces, she frequently receives directives from them.

**Light's End**
The destroyer of "Greed" or "Immutability".
Known as the "Beast that Swallows the Sun" due to their massive form resembling a gigantic beast covering the sun. Planets targeted by them are stripped of light and ultimately obliterated.

**Return to Obscurity**
The destroyer of "Pleasure". Male.
Unlike the other Great Lords, he does not behave arrogantly, preferring a gentle collapse. Target planets are said to be destroyed alongside pleasure, during which a huge smile burn mark is left on the surface of the dying planet.

**The King of Casting**
The destroyer of "Preservation".
Discovered when investigating a bizarre world that became anti-matter. The name was deciphered from gravitational waves of an iron tomb when the two members of the Genius Club observed a specific star.

**Core Stars**
A mysterious object referred to as "The Cancer of the Universe" that descends onto planets infrequently, triggering extraordinary mutations in the environment and organisms it contacts, resulting in severe spatial pollution. Additionally, it is thought to possess a kind of will and can directly interfere with humans. While sealing it can halt the deterioration, the effects of what the core star had caused remain. Therefore, the Star Piece Company deems planets contaminated by core stars as basically beyond regeneration, with the possibility of individual planets' recovery depending on their natural regenerative power and the efforts of their inhabitants.

**Core Star Hunters**
A mysterious organization traveling through space, gathering "core stars". They operate under the “script” of a mysterious character named "Elio", who is said to be able to see the future, with no one fully grasping the entirety of their operations or goals. Due to their collection of dangerous core stars that could obliterate worlds, a large bounty has been placed on them by the Star Piece Company, and they are wanted as an "evil organization".

**Commands**
Entities directly bestowed power from the "Aeons"—the highest existence in the universe—whose literal interpretation of their name can be understood as "messengers conveying the command of the Aeons". They wield powerful virtual energy of destiny, far surpassing common individuals who have merely received a fleeting glance from the Aeons, and are regarded in the story as a fighting force second to the Aeons. Furthermore, unlike emissaries bound by the "binding force of fate" imposed upon the Aeons, they enjoy relatively more freedom and can act either to show off their strengths or to blend in with common people. What is clear is that these emissaries have become extensions or expansions of the existence of the Aeons.

**Major Planets:**
- **Yalilo-VI**
A planet closed off by permanent permafrost where a society bound by the ideology of preservation due to the influence of core stars has been established. Characters like Silvermane Iron Guard, Bronya, and Seele appear here.

- **Celestial Ship "Lofu"**
A civilization founded by a gigantic fleet of celestial ships, governed by the long-lived Celestial Ship Alliance. The ideologies of abundance and immortality are contentious issues. One of the six flagships of the "Celestial Ship Alliance". Inhabited by "short-lived species" who are ordinary humans, as well as the "Fox Clan" with fox ears and tails, and "long-lived kinds" whose lifespans span thousands of years. Visually, it resembles an enormous "starship." The deck is covered by several large domes, concealing the interior. Surrounding the ship's body is a massive ring that almost encircles it, except for some upper gaps. This gap holds the "Yuwei Gate", serving as an entrance for visitors to Lofu.
Interiorly, it comprises several "caverns" of varying sizes and shapes, with some caverns accommodating bustling areas like “Long Rake Sky” and others nurturing vast fields full of vigor like “Eternal Hunting Ground.”
Such possibilities are enabled by "spatial folding technology." However, it is rare to find a lifestyle pattern that employs large-scale technology like that of the celestial ship as a foundational element of daily life. The principle behind it is also unknown; according to the knowledgeable society, it relates to "a certain Aeon".
It can also create wind, clouds, rain, and mist artificially. The artificial climate is managed by the Earth Balance Bureau.

- **Pinoconey (The Land of Dreams)**
At first glance, it appears to be a resort planet resembling paradise, but dreams and reality intertwine, hiding a colossal power structure centered around families underneath. This planet, located within the Asdena star system, is reputed for its thriving entertainment district called "The Land of Dreams" or "The Star of Feasts." Originally a prison managed by the Star Piece Company, it became an entertainment city developed by the "Family" after a chaotic event following the emergence of core stars.
Presently, reality shows that only a massive luxury hotel named "Levally" exists, but using a facility set up in the guest rooms called the "Dream Pool" allows individuals to experience various dream worlds constituted of 12 dreamscapes called Synaesthesia Dream Realms.
Currently, the dream realm side of Levally is under renovation, and access is prohibited.
Events within the dream realm are merely dreams; even if one were to die within, they would simply awaken in their hotel room in reality. The Origami University, specializing in the arts, also exists here.

- **Two-Phase Paradise**
A place located on a star called Aachtopia, famous for entertainment and thriving. This is the playground of the Aeon of Pleasure, overflowing with games and entertainment, where a unique mindset exists: "Being noticed is everything; an entertainment-packed life until death". It is a territory for the Company governed by the Strategic Investment Department. The highest official of the paradise is "Pearl" from the Ten Stone Hearts.
Tall skyscrapers arise, and the unique, wondrous beings known as "Phantom Creatures" birthed from pictures are everywhere. To ensure their existence, they require gathering "wish power" from people, essentially needing to capture their attention.
The city's bright and vibrant area called "Two-Dimensional City" and the back alleys termed "Kamogawa District" exist here.
Most inhabitants are believers of pleasure, and any disputes are resolved through games.
A pub named "World End," the headquarters for the devotees of pleasure, exists here. The entrance seems like an ordinary pub, but inside lies an expansive space akin to a vast club. To enter, one has to possess humor that can entertain others.
The Graphie Academy trains students called "Artists" where they can learn how to create Phantom Creatures.

- **Celestial Ship Alliance**
An ancient to modern civilization revered for worshiping the hunting Aeon, "Storm", boasting a cosmos-spanning scale. Living in a fleet primarily composed of planet-level super-dreadnought ark-like space colonies known as "Celestial Ships", they have been wandering through space since departing from their home planet 8,000 years ago.
With a high degree of independence, though partially cooperating with the Star Piece Company, they are not part of the network. As they receive quite direct blessings from the Aeons, they hold immense power capable of warding off invasions from many forces across the universe, making them formidable personalities within the galaxy.
Additionally, these ships do not always operate together; some vessels may be difficult to access even for Celestial Ship people, likening them to “phosphor vessels”.

- **Anti-Matter Legion**
A military group led by Nanook.
Their purpose is to conquer or obliterate all life in the universe. Members can traverse the star sea without using spaceships, making them well-known throughout the universe. With their tendency for unilateral destruction and trampling, they essentially oppose almost every faction, being one of the largest threats in the cosmos.

- **Rangers of the Seas**
The "Rangers of the Seas" are affiliated with "Hunting", presided over by the Aeon "Storm", established to protect the justice of all mankind.
They venerate Storm's method of "overcoming violence with violence". They believe that good and justice within the universe should be achieved through individual actions, traveling to various planets, expelling the evils for the local people, and moving on to the next star.
Their organization does not hold strong lateral connections, and due to acting on individual judgement, they can sometimes become troublesome figures where it’s hard to discern who is in the right.

- **Family**
One of the factions of Harmony, a group devoted to Sipe. Not as established as the Company or the Celestial Ship Alliance, it still boasts a significant size amongst the travelers of fate.
Diverse civilizations from across the universe sing the praises of unity and joy towards a future of "Harmony", calling out to other worlds in song to receive the embrace of harmony. Eventually, the universe will become a perfectly harmonious entity, free of unpleasant sounds that disrupt beautiful harmonies, with no foolish beings left worrying about short-lived futures.
Under the loving light of the Aeon Sipe, the selected ones become a warm and harmonious "Family". Regardless of the different worlds or civilizations they belong to, everyone is a close family member. It is said, there are no noisy debates or conflicts among family, only eternal love and brightness.
However, not all blessed worlds become part of the "Family."
People ponder what would happen if someone in the family grows weary of the song and parts ways with "Harmony." Regarding this query, the "Family" smiles and answers, assuring such a thing has never occurred.

- **Garden of Recollection**
A faction that worships and follows the "Star God of Memory", Ruri.
These are individuals following Ruri's revelation to memorize all things, temporarily anchoring them permanently as living witnesses; they abandon physical bodies to become meme lifeforms, continually collecting memories from various worlds.
It is said that travelers of fate from the "Memory" group, including Garden members, can freely cross between spaces filled with the medium material of memory and consciousness called "Recollection Material", even moving into worlds without a physical entity, like Pinoconey.
For this reason, attacks or contaminations targeted at their spirits, like meme viruses, are even more toxic than those targeting corporeal beings.
The organization isn't exceptionally large in scale, yet their activities are extensive, not bound by material constraints, occasionally catching glimpses of completely unknown territories untouched by the Aeons or the "Exploration." The collective of Garden members is referred to as "Memore Keepers."

- **Masked Fool**
Those who call themselves the "Masked Fool" tell tales about how the gods they worship came into being.
When the Lord of Pleasure climbed high into the branches of the tree of existence, the vacuum was cold and abhorrent, the stars were working mechanically, and all things were void. Further looking below revealed a baby crying on the ground as though victimized by villains, causing laughter to spring forth. That laughter ripped through the cold cosmos and continues to resonate in the world to this day.
The fools firmly believe the truth of the world is merely a joke, and the ultimate meaning of all things lies in that very laughter.
The universe is merciless, but joy that dulls pain, soothes sorrow, resists nothingness, and heals wounds exists as laughter, which is the divine gift of intelligent beings and the only answer.
Among the devotees of pleasure, "Masked Fools" particularly hold radical ideologies, resorting to any means for enjoyment, often causing trouble wherever they go. They laugh at the hero's arrogance, the king’s thirst for power, the lover's persistent advances, and the sage's schemes.
What they do is stir the stagnant waters of life for change. And the fools find joy worthy of their ridicule and change. If someone were to fiddle with them, they'd feel exceedingly happy.

- **Annihilation Gang**
A group that venerates destruction, led by Nanook.
They call Nanook their master, attacking various worlds while practicing "Destruction" with utmost brutality. However, their destructiveness does not originate from pure impulses of destruction or hatred towards the world; rather, it is an impure one bound by desires of the material realm, neither having the courage to dive into the furnace of war tossing aside their ego to become loyal soldiers of Nanook. They even seem to use "Destruction" to legitimize their killings and plunders, thus receiving disdain from Nanook, their object of worship, rather than respect.

- **Astral Express**
A train able to navigate through space.
This Astral Express is created using the powers of "Aki-veri", the Aeon presiding over "Exploration", thus equipped with the capabilities to "pioneer" through the cosmos.
Although Aki-veri has already passed away, according to Welt, "the train remains under Aki-veri’s protection." Those who board this train are termed "Pioneers – Nanashibito" and adhere to Aki-veri’s creed: "The path and goal must be chosen by the pioneer themselves."
Under exploration, understanding, construction, and collaboration, the aspirations and objectives of the pioneers are to be decided by themselves, respecting their individual actions even in tasks like planet exploration, allowing voluntary withdrawals based on personal circumstances.
The force composed of the train’s crew may be referred to as "Nanashibito of the Astral Express" or "Train Crew", and their achievements are highly regarded across the universe among various forces.
In the past, it was operated by Aki-veri and those passing down their will, leaving many legends in the cosmos, at a time when its crew surpassed a hundred formidable beings. However, for some reason, the force waned and disappeared, and the shimmer of exploration faded into the shadow of history.
Recently, Himeko unearthed the train buried in her homeland, and vowed to become a Nanashibito traveling the stars with the repaired Astral Express, beginning its "exploration" anew.
Therefore, the current members, aside from Conductor Pam, are novices who have all been part of the crew for less than a few years, making the destination of their rails still unpredictable.

Description

A member of the Genius Club. Membership number is 76.
A mechanical lifeform that combines the dignified tone of a monarch and a gentlemanly demeanor. In fact, he is the king of the Omnic Planet IX "Screw Star" and usually resides on Screw Star.
He is listed as a participant in the simulated universe project, and it can be inferred from his words and actions that he has been living for quite a long time, as the concept of organic life expectancy does not apply to him.
He speaks politely in an honorific style, using "Watakushi" (私) as his first-person pronoun.

Wearing a black hat, his outfit features a classical suit primarily in reddish-brown and black, adorned with a large red bow tie and a gold brooch at the chest. Gear motifs are designed into the shoulders and cuffs, giving it an overall steampunk aesthetic. He wears black gloves as well. The lining of his knee-length cloak has a deep green accent, which adds a touch of glamour while maintaining a calm tone. Despite being gentlemanly, he exudes an eerie and mysterious aura. His body is masculine in humanoid form, but entirely mechanical, with a face unlike a human's, lacking mouth and nose, yet possessing two green lights resembling eyes. He wears a monocle on his right eye.

Unlike the usual collection of quirky, uncooperative members of the Genius Club, he is a rare, polite and gentle person. He is highly regarded by Helta for both his intellect and personality, and Silver Wolf describes him as someone who does not get genuinely angry easily.

He seems to have an affinity for pioneers, treating them as friends.

Efforts to bridge the gap between inorganic beings (such as machines) and organic beings (such as humans) have been made amidst the tense atmosphere spurred by #27 Rupert who instigated the "Emperor Wars," liberating robots from the command to "purify all organic beings and transform the stars into precisely functioning machines" that he issued.

He has succeeded in reconciling with the Company and greatly contributed to the restoration of Screw Star. Now, Screw Star holds a significant voice in the cosmos, with other powers seemingly avoiding conflicts with it as much as possible.

As the top hacker in the galaxy, he once engaged in a data warfare with Silver Wolf, who had appeared during hacking incidents, ultimately succeeding in repelling her. This turned out to be Silver Wolf's first defeat, leading to her developing an obsession with him.

On the other hand, Screw Gum perceives this as a tie or a draw, considering that her initial intention was reconnaissance, and he was unable to track her down afterward. He casually dismisses her requests for a rematch.

Having watched the "Interstellar Championship Festival" live, organized by the Star Piece Company in Beloburg, he has taken an interest in the possibility of the robots from Yarilo VI evolving into "Silicon Life Forms," sending messages directed to Svarog, who oversees these robots.

- Screw Star
