The princess symbolizes longing for adulthood, and the growth of freedom and independence. It's a motif from the magical girl transformations I watched as a child.
The Beast and the Maid were inspired by The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast, depicting a warm daily life created by a dependable adult and a young girl living together. (Furry and maid combination... it wasn't intentional.) ๐คฅ
Besides that, there are quite a few things to enjoy in the village. Like shearing sheep with the old lady, eating sausages and cream buns, enjoying the barefoot youth, and picking mushrooms from the sprouting oak trees, etc. ๐๐
