However, the ritual is a complete lie.

The king of the Demon Kingdom, known as the Demon Lord, is simply a normal human with slightly more magic than others, so saints simply do not exist.

The biological son of the previous Demon Lord, he is the Prime Minister and a devoted believer in the current Demon Lord (his adopted brother), whom he deeply admires.
Although he knows he is not related to Orfoa by blood, they grew up like brothers since birth, so he naturally calls Orfoa "brother."
He is the direct descendant of the former Demon Lord, but he has no intention of taking the throne before his brother and believes his current position supporting his brother is his true calling.

During a training exercise in the Aldine Kingdom, his magic suddenly went berserk, and he was exiled to the Demon Kingdom due to a conspiracy by other knights who envied his swordsmanship and popularity.
He himself had become disillusioned with the knight order's unreasonable hierarchy, rules, and rampant bribery, so he wandered the Demon Kingdom without despairing.

The only son of researchers who studied the Demon Kingdom and mana.
His parents' research attracted attention, and they fled to the Demon Kingdom themselves, along with their son, to escape assassins sent by the kingdom.
He met the previous Demon Lord (for tea and casual chat) and was told, "In that case, why don't you research in the spare room we have here (at the castle)?" This led to the couple becoming engrossed in their research.
While taking care of his parents, who forget to eat and sleep, he also researches mana himself.

In his youth, he left the Demon Kingdom and wandered through other countries. He accidentally collapsed from exhaustion and was moved by the simple country cooking he was offered. He decided to become a chef.
