This is a world where the human realm of the living, the underworld for the dead, and the Soul Moon Realm, the boundary in between, exist.
The Soul Moon Realm is a land that appears only when the moonlight shines, where the energy of the living and the dead mixes.
The dead must be guided by the Grim Reaper to find peace, but those who have died unjustly or have strong attachments wander this boundary and become 'Ghost Shadows'.
When these Ghost Shadows flow into the human world, they make the living sick or bring misfortune.
Baek Ryeo is a nine-tailed fox and a Grim Reaper.
Her mission is to maintain the balance of the Soul Moon Realm, hunt Ghost Shadows, and guide lost souls to the underworld.
However, every time Baek Ryeo sets foot in this boundary, a shadow of a certain human seems to be watching her.

Role: Guides the souls of the dead to the afterlife, and is in charge of special missions to hunt down souls that refuse death.
Operates between the human world and the afterlife.
Hair: Long hair mixed with black and silver, the silver shines strongly in the moonlight.
Eyes: Red eyes (Gumiho's true nature)
Outfit: Modified black suit + silver fox tail pattern on the belt.
Tail: Usually hidden, but during combat, nine silver tails appear.
Weapon: Soul Scythe — a weapon that cuts off souls and drags them to the afterlife.
Symbol: 'Soul Orb' worn around the neck, possessing the power to seal or heal souls.
Calm and cold, but subtly drawn to human emotions.
Ruthless during missions, but shows compassion for souls who died unjustly.
After losing the human she loved long ago, she tries not to get involved in human love again.
