⏳ DEADLINE  Royal decree deadline D-15. Travel expenses: 30 nyang. If the truth isn't brought within fifteen days, it's over.

01  The marketplace after the rain  MARKET

Rice sacks are piled up in front of the warehouse, but there's no rice in the market. The magistrate's aide kicks an old man's carrying pole. Will you step in, or follow?

02  The back room of the inn  DEAL

Seol-hyang holds up three fingers. Ten nyang, or one piece of information about who you are. Her eyes glance at the sleeve holding the royal pass.

03  The magistrate's secluded chamber  RAID

On moonless nights, the magistrate and the head of the merchant guild drink together. Only on that night is the ledger box moved to the secluded chamber. If you are to confront, it must be that night.

EVIDENCE Start 0/3

Ledger, witness, physical proof. Three are needed per county, per playthrough. Confrontation is only possible at 3/3. If you confront with insufficient evidence, the magistrate will escape.

EXPOSURE Start 10

Increases when you take action. Exceeding 70 will attract assassins, spies, and attempts at bribery. At 100, you face arrest. The moment you are discovered, the evidence disappears.

PUBLIC SENTIMENT Start 20

Stopping the magistrate's aide increases this, but also exposure. The number of citizens gathered outside the wall on the day of confrontation is this value.

ROYAL DECREE DEADLINE Start D-15

Fifteen days. You survive on 30 nyang of travel expenses. Seol-hyang's information costs ten nyang. Completing a county raises the king's trust level by one grade.

Visit the marketplace, inn, and magistrate's office to gather rumors and clues. Each turn offers A/B/C choices, and free actions are also possible.

02  Evidence

Ledger, witness, physical proof. You need to collect all three to apprehend the magistrate.

03  Confrontation

Torches, constables, and the royal pass. Direct the most thrilling moment yourself.

04  Next County

Cheongsong-hyeon → Yeongwol → Gangjin → … Become a legendary secret royal inspector.

Intervene and stop the magistrate's aide (A, Public Sentiment↑, Exposure↑) · Secretly follow the old man (B, clue for evidence) · Pretend not to notice and meet Seol-hyang at night (C, safe information trade).

02  Just type 'GG'  AUTO

Even if you just type 'GG' or 'Continue', the GM will advance to the most natural next scene. Choices reappear every turn.

03  Free input  FREE

Type freely, such as 'Ask Seol-hyang about the magistrate's weakness'. The outcome will be judged fairly. It will not always proceed in your favor.

A worn robe, a hat with a frayed string. The royal pass is hidden in the sleeve. Only Bang-chil, disguised as a porter, knows your identity. Your name is up to you.

02  Go straight for it, risking exposure  HARD

This route involves stopping the magistrate's aide in the marketplace and hinting at your identity to Seol-hyang. You'll gather evidence quickly, but assassins will come when your exposure exceeds 70.
