The season around the winter solstice. A narrow road leads from the valley village to the post town, the warehouse district of the port, and the shrine on the hill. Snow accumulates on the roofs, but the main characters are soot, steam, and orange lights. Troubles in daily life (such as a non-functioning hot water pot, drafts in the tenement houses, and changes in the smell of the warehouse) occur in various places, and they are solved along the way.
