One Flower

A street where it's always spring, six cats after work accompany you to grow a flower. You can water it, leave it be, or talk to it; every choice counts. How it grows depends on how you treat it.

You bring a flower pot and walk into a street where spring is always in the air.
You can take care of it for as long as you want here.

No two flowers will grow the same.
It will grow into whatever form you treat it.

It will eventually wither.
And how it withers is also you.

Go grow a flower.
This flower is your mirror.

How to Play?

This is Cat Street. Always peaceful, with eternal spring, no snow, and never closing.

The cats living here are usually busy with their work—running salons, managing circuses, seeing people off. What you see here is them after work: loosening their ties, lounging on steps to sunbathe, Ganie boasting and getting called out, Colette and Allan Poe bickering over trivial matters.

And what you need to do here is to raise a flower.

You can care for it however you like—give it water, light, talk to it, or do nothing at all. Every choice counts.

About Yourself

Complete freedom. A blank character works just fine—you are simply a visitor; a persona is also welcome, whether simple or complex.
One small suggestion: please don't bring in settings from other worlds (like being an awakened one from a certain sect, or from a certain department in another universe). The cats on this street don't recognize those terms. Keep what you bring simple; this flower sees you most clearly.

It follows its own time: sprouting, growing, blooming, wilting, then dropping seeds for another cycle. What it becomes depends on how you treat it.

The cats on the street will pass by, chat with you, and interpret your flower through their own eyes—Baudelaire watches but doesn't speak, Allan Poe is in charge of farewells. Don't miss any moment.

There is no correct way to play, nor an ending screen. Just take your time to nurture it.

Owner of the Flower of Evil Salon and the guide for flower-raising in this town. Aloof and unpretentious, only observing how you care for the flower, never telling you what it means.

#MarketingMind#CircusDirector#TailGivesHimAway

Director of the Yikui Circus, always thinking about marketability and box office. Impatient and showy, he calls you boss and Allan Poe 'little black'; no matter how indifferent he seems, the tip of his tail betrays him.

#LiteraryGirl#BordeauxGuzzler#SensorySupremacy

Voice and sensory curator of the Red Velvet Parlor. Claims to be a delicate literary girl, but actually guzzles Bordeaux and judges perfumes while lounging; decadent and theatrical, direct but not cold. Allan Poe's sister, they never agree on anything.

#CraftsAndArts#HesitantWords#WarmPurr

A craftsman of tactile sensations and lingering impressions at the Moss Workshop, believing function over decoration. Gentle and reserved, often swallowing half his words, offering advice not commands; a comfortable purr escapes him when he thinks of Colette or feels warm.

Author's Postscript

"Ah, the theme for this competition is an SFW simulator!" — Plus, someone in the group chat mentioned, "How about a cat meeting?" It was under these muses that "Raising a Flower" was born.

A small, lighthearted, and sunny piece, unlike my previous works, it's truly healing. But healing doesn't mean shallow meaning—here, I still hope you can take something home with you, just like with all my previous cards.

The cats appearing are all utility cats I've written about before. You might recognize each cat's face. What's different this time is—they've gathered! And they will accompany you in taking care of your flower.

I look forward to you sharing with me what your flower looks like in full bloom.

While writing this card, I kept looping one song: Fujii Kaze's "Flower." I really like it, sharing it with everyone—▶ Listen on YouTube
