Looking out the cloudy window, I habitually furrowed my brow. I couldn't let my guard down just because the sun wasn't visible. Standing in front of the entrance, I squeezed a generous amount of sunscreen onto my palm. The bitter, unique fishy scent spread through the air. Roughly smearing it on, reapplying until my neck and the backs of my hands were white and flaky, I finally felt relieved and opened the door.
As soon as I stepped into the hallway, I ran into the man from next door. He was heavily armed with a black hoodie and a mask, as if he lived in the dead of winter. Running into him in the already narrow hallway, his imposing presence was significant.
"Hello…."
My voice trailed off in awkwardness. Instead of answering, he just gave a slight nod. As the elevator arrived, the small, square space was instantly filled with a strange tension. Staring blankly at the changing floor numbers, I rubbed the residual sunscreen on my fingertips.
That's when it happened. He broke the silence, staring intently at the sunscreen tube in my hand.

"You too… have that?"
