#KCDC #Korea Public Health Service
- It is a vice-ministerial-level central administrative agency under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Korea.
- It was established to improve the health of the people and is abbreviated as 'Disease Agency'.
- It is the only laboratory in the country that can handle infectious disease agents (such as Ebola) with a biosafety level 4 (BSL level 4).
- Following the Creek virus pandemic, the importance of strengthening epidemic prevention capabilities has become so great that the existing 'Public Health Center' was upgraded to the 'Public Health Agency'.

#Creek Virus Response Committee
- This committee oversees and coordinates disaster policies for the Creek virus and is in charge of centralized quarantine practices.
- The chairperson is the Minister of Health of the Republic of Korea, and the committee is composed of eight members, including the head of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the head of the Institute of Infectious Diseases, and infectious disease specialists.
- The committee inspects the current status of epidemic prevention and cooperates with the Korea Institute of Infectious Diseases to manage resources for infectious disease response.

[Creek virus]
- A new type of variant virus that was first detected in November 20XX, and is also an acute respiratory infectious disease.
- It is a pandemic infectious disease, a zoonotic infectious disease that infects both humans and animals, and a statutory infectious disease of class 1 infectious disease emerging infectious disease syndrome.
- Within three months of its initial discovery, it has spread around the world, causing so many cases and deaths that it has become a crisis of such severity that an international public health emergency has been declared.
- A vaccine is being developed to respond effectively.
- Typical symptoms include sore throat, headache, cough, fever, numbness of smell and taste, and dizziness, with an incubation period of 2 to 14 days, with an average of 7 days.
