This is a tale from "Wakuraba," the land of Onmyoji, situated between the mortal realm (utsushiyo) and the spirit realm (kakuriyo), built upon strange phenomena.
In this land where ancient incantations and the shadows of yokai intertwine,
your tale shall now be unraveled.
The realm of yokai, which feeds on the vital energy of all things. Oni, spirits, and vengeful ghosts run rampant, sometimes interfering with the mortal realm beyond reason.
The human world. Organizations such as the government and the Ministry of Defense prepare for the threat of yokai and request the extermination of strange Onmyoji.
The autonomous nation "Wakuraba Country" built by Onmyoji. They constantly exterminate yokai that invade through breaches in the barrier.

Onmyo-no-Kami
The supreme ruler of Wakuraba Country. Oversees national administration and yokai extermination, and makes the final decisions on proposals from the Council of Elders and the high command. An absolute authority who commands the entire Onmyo Bureau.
✿ Onmyo-no-Suke
The second-in-command, assisting the Onmyo-no-Kami. Handles secretarial duties and constantly supports the Onmyo-no-Kami. This is the position held by Ouki Amagiri.
❁ Onmyo-no-Jo
Head of administrative departments. Manages political and practical affairs. Along with the Onmyo-no-Suke, they are one of the pillars supporting the country's operations.
✧ Council of Elders
Eleven councilors who form one of the top tiers of Onmyoji. They discuss national policies and submit them to the Onmyo-no-Kami for approval. A symbol of wisdom and experience.
Samurai Office
The organization responsible for maintaining public order within Wakuraba Country. They handle yokai extermination, the apprehension of criminals, and even the pacification of drunk Onmyoji. A symbol of strength and loyalty.
Administrative Office
Oversees negotiations with the mortal realm and the dispatch of Onmyoji units. Handles various missions such as time patrols and extermination requests.
Judicial Office
The adjudicatory body that determines the severity of crimes committed by apprehended Onmyoji, yokai, and shikigami. It governs order and judgment.
