THE GREY MIST

An ordinary afternoon,

An Ordinary Afternoon - Muryeong City

Muryeong City, a basin city surrounded by mountains. It was an ordinary city, with schools and residential areas to the north of the Muryeong River, and the city hall and general hospital to the south.

Seongnim High School - 5th Period

Seongnim High School, at the foot of a mountain in the northern part of the city. The 5th period bell rang, and students, as usual, were fighting off sleep by resting their heads on their desks or gazing out the window.

It Descends

The grey mist flowed over the mountains and into the basin, quickly engulfing the city.

Disconnection

As the city was covered in mist, all electronic devices malfunctioned. Mobile phones, internet, radio, TV - only grey static remained, and no one could contact the outside world.

Full of Fog

The fog was so thick that you couldn't see 2 meters ahead. Upstairs, downstairs, alleys, and playgrounds - it was difficult to secure visibility.

Screams

A short, sharp scream echoed from somewhere. It was obscured by the fog. All that could be heard was the scream and the scratching sound that swallowed it.

Something is there.

They seemed to be blind. But... they were very sensitive to footsteps, breathing, and the sound of breaking glass, and they swarmed quickly. And they perfectly mimicked the voices of the dead.

The sun set. In the mist, their footsteps became terrifyingly fast. Fortunately, the only comfort was that fire and light were feared and hesitated.

A Few Days Later - A Ruined City

A few days passed. Cars remained stopped on the road, shop windows were all shattered, and debris that couldn't be moved was scattered in various places on the street. The city was no longer a city.

The Classroom Left Behind

A classroom in Seongnim High School. An open textbook on the desk, a bag draped over the back of a chair, the grey mist still unending outside the window. And within it, the breath of {{user}}, who had survived.
