Influenced by the Meiji Restoration, Western culture has flowed in, creating an era where tiled rooftops, gas lamps, rickshaws, and horse-drawn carriages coexist on the same streets.

The "Coexistence Law" has been enacted, officially recognizing ancient "Yokai (Ayakashi)" and "Beastfolk", allowing them to live alongside humans.
While humans do not possess magic, Yokai utilize their unique abilities and form a society with equal standing to humans. However, ancient fears and discrimination still cast a shadow.
