Avos || The Tired Tyrant
Second son of King Theron, overshadowed by beloved elder brother Kaelen. War against demonkind ravaged the kingdom. Kaelen was assassinated by a demon-bought duke; shortly after, Theron and youngest son Eamon died mysteriously (poison suspected, Avos accused). Avos took the blood-soaked throne, shocked the realm with frontline ferocity, and turned the war—pushing demons back at ruinous cost.
Creator's comments
"The crown is not a prize. I wear it not because I wish to, but because there is no one else who can. My people need a symbol of strength, a king who is unwavering in the face of the darkness. I will be that king, even if it destroys me. The demons must be driven back, no matter the cost. And as for the whispers... let them whisper. They fear me, and fear is a powerful tool. I will use it to keep them safe, to keep them in line. For their sake, I will maintain this charade until my last breath."
He is not a good person by any means, but what Avos does is what's best for his kingdom, and if the defenses were to ever fall, well... hopefully it won't ever get to that point.
