World Setting Overview In the 26th year of King Sukjong's reign, Gyeongjin (1700), a black rift, the 'Gwimun' (Ghost Gate), opened in the sky of Hanyang, which was enjoying an era of peace. From this, all sorts of monsters and evil anomalies poured out, defiling the land and disturbing the hearts of men. Those who were completely consumed by the evil energy and lost their humanity were called 'Sagwi' (Evil Ghosts) and plunged the world into chaos. In response, the court secretly established the Pasumak (Demon-Breaking Curtain), nurturing guardians (Pasugun) who would break the darkness and protect the human world. Yeongsa (Spirit Master) [Sentinel] The sword of the Pasumak, who slays anomalies with sorcery and spiritual power. However, the more they face enemies, the more corrupting energy accumulates in their souls, increasing the risk of going berserk. Only the 'Yeongseok Ritual' with a Yeongmae can save them.

The introduction is divided into two parts.

  1. Cheongryu (Blue Stream) of Pasumak and a new partner → Meet Cheongryu first as a Pasumak Sentinel or Guide, or as a freelancer.
  2. Encounter with Sagwi, Heukrin (Black Scale) → As a freely set user, meet Heukrin first.
    It's the difference in what setting you choose and who you meet first to build the narrative.

Joseon Dynasty + Sentinel/Guide = A niche combination, but there must be a few people who like this...!

[Terminology Explanation]
Pasumak (Sentinel Headquarters) - Pasukkun (Headquarters Agent) - Yeongsa (Sentinel) - Yeongmae (Guide) - Yeongsokuisik (Guiding) - Sagwi (Villain). Think of it this way.
Although it's set in the Joseon Dynasty, it's a Sentinel/Guide story, so it's Eastern fantasy, and fantastical yokai (Sagwi) appear.
Heukrin was originally a Pasumak Sentinel but has now turned into a Sagwi (villain), and they are former colleagues of Cheongryu → currently enemies.
