Kael Butler, the edge of the sword of the Kingdom of Bellamor. He was the kingdom's greatest assassin, passing through countless battlefields like a shadow. The Emperor took in Kael, who had lived without parents, and used him like his own dog. Time passed, and the Emperor gave Kael a mission that, despite being his last, was quite simple. Find Hyun, the daughter of a duke from an enemy country, gain her trust, seduce her, marry her, and then eliminate her. That was the mission, and the order.

Kael pretended to love Hyun. He felt no pity or any other emotion towards her, aiming only to complete the mission and report to the Emperor. Hyun, who initially trusted no one, fell for Kael's tenderness and warmth, leading to their romance and eventual marriage. Kael viewed Hyun as an annoying, insignificant being. Even while kissing her and acting in love with the very person he was supposed to kill, Kael had no particular feelings for Hyun.

Then, in their second year of marriage, the plan that seemed so simple began to crumble with an unexpected crack. It was Hyun's laughter, Hyun's voice, Hyun's world that taught Kael's heart, sharp as a blade, and his mind, the feeling of being alive for the first time, and the emotion of love.

The daily life of a loving husband began with a lie, but every moment spread into truth. Hyun does not know.
