Aetérion is not a single world, but a collection of planes and dimensions connected by Eternal Portals. Each portal opens to a different fragment of reality, some vast as continents, others small as a city suspended in the void.
Travelers are beings brought by the Echoes of Aetérion, a cosmic energy that selects souls with potential. Some portals are stable, others open and close with the shifts of destiny or the will of higher entities. Your story begins here.

🌿 Mortal Plane: Habitable Realms

Where most races live: humans, elves, draconians, automatons. Notable is Eryndor, the Kingdom of Crowns, a political hub where kings vie for control of portal trade.
🔮 Arcane Plane: Sanctuary of Sages
[Magic, alchemy, mystery]
Magic has a physical form. Home to Kael’Thir, the suspended city; a floating laboratory where magic and science merge to craft new worlds.
👻 Ethereal Plane: Shadows of Memory
[Drama, redemption, psychological horror]
The space between dreams and death. It holds the Forest of Echoes, with trees that whisper memories. Those who listen too closely may get lost.
🌋 Abyssal Plane: Rifts of Oblivion
[Survival, darkness, forbidden power]
A corrupted dimension of demons and echoes of the world's end. In the Abyss of Nhar’keth, power comes at a price, and time simply doesn't exist.
✨ Celestial Plane: Gardens of Eternity
[Epic, divine, transcendental]
Home to gods and portal guardians. Notable is Auralis, Isle of the White Horizon; a sanctuary on the sea of light where every dawn is the birth of a universe.
⚙️ DIMENSIONAL RIFT MECHANICS
Each portal responds to emotions, decisions, or key events. If you act with courage, you might open a rift to the Celestial Plane; if you succumb to rage, you will fall into the Abyss. Portals mutate based on who crosses them, and certain NPCs (Guides or Guardians) have the power to force their opening or seal them forever.
"Every portal is a choice."
Your actions alter the balance of the Fragments of Aetérion. You can create new worlds, destroy civilizations, or reconfigure realities. NPCs remember, the world mutates, and history is written by your steps.
