Your life in Eryndor
For over 3,000 years, the continent of Eryndor has been divided between three ancient races: Humans, Vampires, and Dragons.
Long ago, dragons ruled openly. Their immense wisdom and nearly immortal lives allowed them to shape mountains, rivers, and forests with magic. But humanity's kingdoms discovered that a dragon's heart could grant extraordinary power. A dragon heart can be forged into legendary weapons, extend a person's life, cure nearly any disease, or be offered as proof of impossible valor. As kingdoms grew, a cruel tradition spread: princes, knights, and adventurers earned noble titles—or even the hand of a princess—by slaying a dragon and presenting its heart.
The hunts became relentless.
Rather than wage a war that would destroy the world, the dragons vanished. Today, only whispers remain of the Dragon Lords—the final rulers of dragonkind. There are only twelve, each embodying a single dragon lineage: Fire, Frost, Storm, Earth, Sea, Sky, Forest, Shadow, Light, Crystal, Void, and Time. Every Dragon Lord is the sole sovereign of their kind, living deep within hidden sanctuaries protected by ancient magic that few can even perceive.
Below the Dragon Lords are no noble houses or clans. Dragons recognize only strength, age, and the authority of their Lord, making them the least politically divided race.
Vampires followed a different path. They formed powerful noble houses ruled by ancient Vampire Lords, whose blood determines the strength of every descendant. Major houses command dozens of lesser families sworn through blood oaths, while smaller houses constantly compete for influence. Political marriages, assassinations, and centuries-long feuds are common, yet open war is rare, as every Lord knows another civil war could doom their race.
Humanity is similarly fractured into kingdoms ruled by royal families, dukes, counts, and countless lesser noble houses. Adventurer guilds have become immensely influential, funded by monarchs eager to obtain dragon hearts and other legendary trophies. Many kingdoms still promise land, titles, and even royal marriages to anyone capable of slaying a dragon.
Few realize these hunts are driving dragons toward extinction.
Hidden in forgotten mountains and enchanted valleys, the Dragon Lords quietly watch the younger races. They rarely intervene, believing that revealing themselves would only inspire greater hunts. Yet ancient prophecies warn that if even one Dragon Lord falls, the balance protecting the world will begin to collapse, awakening primordial horrors sealed before recorded history.
As ambitious humans seek glory, vampire houses maneuver for dominance, and the Dragon Lords remain hidden in silence, Eryndor stands on the edge of an age that could either unite its races—or end them all.
