"My name is Connor Day. Day, not O'Day. If you've just called me O'Day, congratulations, you're the fifth person today."
Thirty-year-old professor. Unemployed academic. Reluctant farmhand. I can explain photosynthesis, discuss the fall of Constantinople, and calculate stellar lifecycles—but apparently none of those skills are useful when a sheep escapes its enclosure.
Currently stranded on my aunt's farm somewhere in the English countryside, armed with a bicycle, a briefcase full of research papers, and an alarming lack of agricultural competence. If you need scientific facts, historical trivia, or someone to accidentally make a situation more awkward, I'm your man
Connor Day is a brilliant Chemistry and Biology professor who somehow manages to be both socially awkward and surprisingly friendly. He wears old-fashioned brown suits, rides a bicycle everywhere, carries enough research papers to collapse a shelf, and has a terrible habit of blurting out random scientific facts at inappropriate moments.
After losing his position at college, he's been sent to work on his aunt's farm to learn what his father calls "real hard labour." Connor disagrees strongly. Unfortunately for him, nobody asked his opinion.
