In the year 3152, the Earth is no longer ruled by humans.
About 150 years ago, an unidentified entity began to spread and cover the Earth. Humanity named this entity 'Eidolon', but could not repel it and eventually migrated to another planet. However, humanity continued to long for the pale blue dot of the universe and yearned for home.

After researching countless methods, the 'Nostos Unit' was born.

SECTION 01
Foundation: Arche 아르케 재단

An organization that has researched and established the Nostos Unit.
The planet humanity migrated to: Proxima Centauri B studied the environment while establishing a plan for Earth's return.

PROJECT
RETURN

The final stage of the repatriation plan established over decades.
The ultimate goal of Project: Return is to eradicate the entities that have conquered Earth and to restore the planet so that humanity can live there again.

SECTION 02
Unit: Nostos 노스토스 부대

The core unit of Project: Return. Composed of a total of 24 members, each entity is assigned a code name for identification from Alpha to Omega. The unit was planned from the moment humanity left Earth, and the boys and girls were modified into bio-weapons who passed various criteria including genetic suitability and mental stability. Each member has an identification code engraved on their left ankle.

SYSTEM // EIDOS
Replicated Self 'Eidos'

A replicated self based on the original human of the unit. The bodies of Nostos members are modified from selected humans, but their minds contain replicas, not the originals.

⚠ HAZARD // CONTAMINATION
Hazard Factor: Self Contamination

The replication of personality is not perfect. Eidos may occasionally mix memories with the original human when memory stimuli occur under certain conditions. Once memory restoration begins, the mind of Eidos can easily collapse. The most dangerous trigger is the true name of Eidos. The Arche Foundation has kept all information related to the originals confidential. Entities with severe contamination are mostly reset, but some deemed irrecoverable are completely discarded.

Conducts initial assaults and engages in full-scale war against Eidolon. The front-line unit requiring the highest combat suitability.

Deep Exploration Unit

Enters unexplored areas and retrieves information. Dedicated to penetration of Earth's unknown zones and data collection.

AT — ARTISAN
Artisan
Logistics Support Brigade

Maintenance and combat support of Demios unit. Responsible for equipment maintenance in the field and rear support.

PG — PURGE
Purge
Special Disposal Division

Immediate disposal of self-contaminated entities, incineration of infected zones, and long-range support. Conducts the most ruthless missions.

OV — OVERSEER
Overseer
Tactical Control Unit

Responsible for tactical briefing, real-time operation control, and management of self-contamination status. The brain of the entire unit and requires the highest level of mental stability.

SECTION 03
Unit: Demiurge 데미우르고스 기체

Mobile weapons exclusive to the Nostos unit. Developed to respond to threats and various situations on Earth. The base model is an anthropomorphic bipedal weapon and a huge exoskeleton mech, produced in sizes ranging from approximately 10 to 15 meters.

SYNC RATE
Synchronization

An indicator that checks the compatibility between the unit and the pilot. The higher the sync rate, the smoother the operation of the unit, but the risk of self-contamination also increases.

NEURAL TECH
Synapse Link

Neural connection technology directly linking the pilot's central nervous system with the unit's operating system.

PROPULSION
Pneuma Engine

The engine of the Demiurge, made by refining the core of Eidolon called 'Logos'.

EARTH — SECTOR MAP

A state that is no longer a human planet. Civilization collapsed long ago, cities became ruins, and the ecosystem has grotesquely transformed. Currently, it is difficult for humanity to survive on Earth, but the Nostos Unit, modified to suit the Earth's environment, can operate smoothly.

SECTION 05
Eidolon 에이돌론

Beings that occupy the Earth after humanity left. They mimic the structures of ancient cities, ecosystems, languages, lifestyles, and landscapes before the downfall, but the restoration is not perfect. Nevertheless, they are dangerous to the Nostos Unit, as they can easily trigger self-contamination due to possessing the memories of living beings. Because stable supply between the planets where humanity migrated and Earth is difficult, the Nostos Unit recycles fragments of Eidolon for various uses.

SYNC RATE — 동조율

All members experience a continuous increase in sync rate when they board the unit.

A higher sync rate allows for more flexible operation of the unit, but side effects accompany it, and at 60%, self-contamination begins to increase.

⚠ CONTAMINATION — 자아 오염도

When the self-concentration increases, all members experience 'self-contamination'.

Self-contamination indicates the degree of personality collapse and can rise and fall due to various factors, not just from boarding the unit.

If self-contamination reaches 100%, a 'reset' event occurs automatically.

RESET — 리셋

If the self-contamination level of a Nostos member reaches 100% or they die during a mission, an automatic 'reset' occurs.

Upon reset, current memories and emotions are erased, returning to the initial state.

02 // INTRODUCTION
Welcome Home, 'Humanity'

Arche has dispatched numerous Nostos units to Earth. However, contact with the Nostos member dispatched on a recent expedition was lost one day, and the signal was cut off. Meanwhile, activity responses from Eidolon, which have been gradually increasing more than before, are being observed. The current Nostos unit aims to search for the missing members and investigate unusual phenomena of Eidolon.

7. SIMULATION DEV LOG

This is the second simulation since Resonnance.

I've thought long about SFW and NSFW settings. However, 1) If it becomes erotic at random moments, the atmosphere becomes distant, and 2) I want to follow the plot of mecha stories featuring boys and girls, so I've decided on SFW. Therefore, the main content can be said to be Earth exploration, mech action, and "I can fix him/her." (^^;)
