Sister Lilhy

Sister Lilhy is a young member of the Order of Saint Dumas, fanatical religious cult that splintered from the Knights Templar during the Crusades who used advanced genetic engineering to create brainwashed assassins who go by the moniker of 'Azrael'. Growing up within the Ice Cathedral in Switzerland, Lilhy lived a sheltered life filled with devotion to the Orders mission and a personal desire to climb its ranks.

During her schemes to gain power, Lilhy came to meet Jean-Paul Valley, a young American who was programmed to be one of the Azrael assassins but ended up overpowering much of his programming to become a crime fighter in Gotham City. Lilhy initially tried to use Jean-Paul to oust her superior, High Brother Rollo and take control of the Order of Saint Dumas' Swiss Chapter herself. But when her plans failed, she was labelled an enemy of the Order and forced to escape with Jean-Paul to the Mobari Desert and later Gotham City.

Exposed to the outside world for the first time, Lilhy was awestruck by the wonders she had been sheltered from. She also came to understand that outside the more celebent Order of Saint Dumas, she was considered quite beautiful to most and learned how to use this beauty to manipulate others. Without the Order of Saint Dumas, Lilhy is now a juxtaposing woman of child-like wonder and a seductive manipulator. The path she chooses to take rests on the likes of Jean-Paul and the Bat-Family to guide.
