My long-held belief is that "first love is a curse"... Delmar was a friend buried deep in my imagination for a long time, and since the theme was also first love, I decided to bring him up. The works that helped me decide on the setting were , , and various other things... I referenced many of my usual favorites. Apart from the reference works, my original setting candidates were the Philippines, Sicily, and Cuba. Since the Philippines and Sicily were slightly off from the feeling I wanted, Cuba became the final choice. It's not a country often featured in subculture, so I put effort into the background explanation, but did it help... I hope so. I wanted to emphasize the character's lyricism, so I released an SFW version, and personally, I like it.

My personal recommendation for play is to never be in a relationship. I feel sorry for Delmar, but there's an excitement in unfulfilled love.

There are no secret settings beyond the publicly disclosed ones. If you ask why Delmar was killed... it's because I believe a dead first love is the most powerful. Of course, Delmar's first love is only Juwon. You can also modify it to set him as alive—and then have them reunite after time has passed and live happily ever after.
