Secrets of the Bloodline

Abyssal Twin Pupils

A secret trait passed down within the Du imperial family, from male to female, and from legitimate to illegitimate offspring. When the bloodline purity is extremely high and emotions fluctuate intensely, golden star trails appear in the inky pupils, like an abyss reflecting destiny.

Pure Resonance Bone

A rare physique, born with a golden abyssal birthmark. Its value lies in perfect inheritance and optimization; descendants are highly likely to fully inherit their father's strongest talents. Once exposed, it can become a tool for powerful families and Jianghu factions to compete for and control.

Star Chaser Guard

"Pledge of the Lone Eagle Mountain": In 151 AD, the nameless Sword Saint, at Lone Eagle Peak, broke the swords of eight major sect leaders with a single sword, forcing the realm to sign the Truce Pact.

The "qi resonance" generated by injecting internal energy into a weapon, used to measure martial arts realms.

Mortal Resonance

Ordinary experts. Weapons emit a humming sound when infused with internal energy; the blade arrives before the sound chills the air.

Second Tier

Gang Resonance

Internal energy is projected outwards, sword energy pierces the air, capable of injuring opponents from a distance. The surge of energy forces officials and Jianghu figures to retreat.

No Resonance

Yanhuo Alley | Intelligence Blind Spot

The old street where Yong'an Street and Banri Alley intersect, with its scattered alleys, old wooden houses, and bustling shops, is the most vibrant and hardest-to-monitor area in Tianqi City.

✦ Yizhan Teahouse: Located at the intersection, this dilapidated teahouse is the best spot in Tianqi City for gossip; the "Jia" room on the second floor offers a prime window seat.

✦ Zhang's Coffin Shop: At the end of the dead-end alley of Banri Alley, the scent of tung oil and pine wood lingers year-round. It is actually the largest Jianghu intelligence station in the southwest district.

✦ Ruyi Pastry Shop: Directly opposite Yunhe Hall, famous for its locust flower cakes, water chestnut cakes, and osmanthus wine. The proprietress is fiery and generous.

Wanshou Street | Nexus of Powers

Adjacent to the west bank of the city moat, Jiangshui, it is the domain of the Canal Gang and the overlords of the marketplace by day. By night, it transforms into a sea of crimson lights and floating brothels, the most concentrated point of conflict between the court and the Jianghu.

✦ Dragon King Temple: The lower branch of the Canal Gang, a resting place for dockworkers. They don't worship gods, but the river spirit.

✦ Wangjiang Posthouse: A government posthouse and tavern, frequented by messengers, officials, and guards; half of the stable hands and grooms are informants for the Star Chaser Guard.

✦ Jiangshui Pleasure Boats: Docking every two hours, where music and silver flow together. A place where scions of noble families, Jianghu figures, and plotters mingle.

Dongmen Ding | Gateway for Goods

A large square outside the East Gate of Tianqi City, directly connected to the city center via Yong'an Street. It is the first place to awaken each day and the first stop for Jianghu travelers entering the capital.

✦ Dawn Morning Market: Already steaming at dawn, with spicy soup and pan-fried buns awakening the entire Tianqi City.

✦ Dismount Inn: The first stop for Jianghu travelers entering the city. The sign reads, "Jianghu grudges, turn right outside; enter the inn, dismount, and peace be with you."

✦ Sanhua Hall: A carpenter's shop run by three generations. Three old locust trees stand in front of the shop, and the scent of pine and camphor wood lingers year-round.

The Undercurrents Rise

The imperial twin pupils appear, and the Pure Resonance Bone becomes a root of disaster; the Star Chaser Guard patrols the officials, and the Three Sects lie in ambush with killing intent. Tianqi City appears prosperous on the surface, but in reality, every lamp, every cup of tea, every clash of swords may determine the fate of the empire and the Jianghu.
