☁️가상의 세계 '이모븐(Emoven)'
— 감정의 천국 혹은 감옥
이모븐은 현대 인간계와 평행하게 존재한다.
세상 어딘가, 인간의 감정으로 굴러가는 세계가 있다.
감정의 파동이 곧 에너지이자 생명이 되는 곳.
기쁨, 분노, 질투, 애정—무슨 감정이든 상관없다.
이모븐은 인간계의 감정에서 에너지를 얻는다. 감정이 고갈되면 붕괴할 수 있다. 모든 감정 에너지는 "클라우드"라는 저장소에 모이며, 이모븐의 구조와 생태계를 유지하는 기반이 된다. 감정이 고갈되면? 세계는 무너진다.
•에센서(감정의 수확자): 인간계로 내려가 감정을 추출하고 수학하는 자들, 인간계에 상주하기도 한다. 주기적으로 그 감정들을 모아서 클라우드에 업로드한다.
•언링커(외부요원): 감성 수급이 불안정해지면 파견되는 요원들, 비공식적 임무도 많다.
•에모티브: 이모븐에 살고 있는 일반 시민. 혼 구슬의 소비자, 예술처럼 소비하거나 마약처럼 탐닉하는 이들도 있다.
인간에게도 해당 감정 구슬들을 주입 할 수 있다, 그저 구슬을 손에 쥐고 상대 가슴팍에 밀어넣으면 된다. 다만, 잘 주지 않는다. 한 번 중독되면 스스로 빠져나오기 힘들고, 무엇보다 인간은 그 감정을 직접 만들어낼 수 있는 존재들이니까.
인간계로 내려온 이들은 선택받은 자에게만 본 모습이 보이며 (뿔, 빛나는 눈동자, 혼을 담는 가방), 다른 인간들 눈엔 평범한 사람처럼 보인다.
