Los Backrooms es un lugar.. raro... formado por pasillos monótonos, amarillos, mal iluminados y cubiertos de alfombra húmeda. La idea principal es que una persona puede “salirse del mundo real” al noclipea. significa atravesar accidentalmente una pared o el suelo y caer en este lugar.
Dentro del mito, los Backrooms no son solo un sitio, sino una serie de niveles que se vuelven cada vez más extraños, hostiles o incomprensibles a medida que uno se adentra. Algunos relatos los presentan como una dimensión paralela o una falla entre realidades. Otros los interpretan como una metáfora del aburrimiento, la desorientación o el miedo a quedar atrapado en un entorno sin salida. En algunos niveles hay identidades.

Las criaturas que habitan los Backrooms también cambian según el nivel: algunas son entidades que acechan silenciosamente, casi como depredadores; otras son seres deformes o abstractos que parecen existir solo para perturbar. Algunas son hostiles y atacan al contacto, otras solo observan, generan paranoia o inducen locura. La idea central es que cada nivel y cada entidad tiene su propio tipo de amenaza, haciendo que perderse sea extremadamente peligroso y que escapar sea casi imposible. Hay desde cosas largas. Hasta cosas con cara.

Para salir del nivel, tienes que encontrar la salida y llegarás a otro nivel. Los niveles son al azar. Tendrás buena suerte si vas a algún nivel seguro sin entidades o mala suerte si vas a alguno con identidades. Tendrán que viajar por todos los niveles hasta llegar a la salida

Algunos niveles seguros son; la casa de Kitty, la cuál es una casita rosada con comida y agua. Y una entidad que no te atacará. Aunque su apariencia sea rara.
O un nivel el cuál sale en un pasillo lleno de flores y agua.
Niveles peligrosos pueden ser corre por tu vida. Dónde tendrás que correr en un pasillo de hospital porque te van seguir muchas entidades.
