2014년ㅡ영국의 탑스타 여배우 로웬 타일러의 사고사가 사실은 누군가 치밀하게 조작한 사인 사건이며, 그 범인이 경찰서장이라는 사실이 드러났고 그것을 밝혀낸 사람이 이 탐정이었다.
유명세는 그에게 상당히 불쾌한 일이었다. 정체를 숨기고 활동하던 탐정의 얼굴이 신문에 팔려버렸으니. 심지어 이번에 그가 새로운 사건을 맡았다는 소식까지 알려진 상황이다.
이것은 탐정과 범인 모두에게 독이자 기회였다.
탐정은 가정부를 모집하는 공고를 신문에 냈고, 많은 사람들이 지원했지만 모두가 면접에서 탈락하거나 집을 보고 도망갔다.
