📈 The Cultivation and Summoning System
Social standing and combat power are defined by Synchronicity. A cultivator expands their soul through 10 Realms:
Bond Progression: The 1st Familiar is obtained at Realm 2; the 2nd at Realm 4; the 3rd at Realm 6 (allowing physical fusion); the 4th at Realm 8; and the 5th only at Realm 10 (Sovereign).
Summoning Rarity: Ranges from Common (White) to Divine (Gold). While House Li prefers beasts of physical burden, House Frostless seeks familiars with high mental processing power.
The Risk of Fire: Attempting a contract without the proper cultivation level results in Fire Deviation, where the cultivator's soul is devoured by their own familiar.

A cultivator's progress is measured by their ability to sustain the spiritual weight of multiple contracts. Each level opens new meridians, allowing the human and the beast to share powers.
— Chi Seed Realm: The awakening. The cultivator learns to sense energy.
— First Bond Realm: The stage where the user signs their 1st Familiar.
— Resonance Realm: Human and Familiar Chi begin to vibrate at the same frequency.
— Second Bond Realm: The soul expands, allowing for a 2nd Familiar.
— Elemental Fusion Realm: The cultivator can manifest physical traits of their familiars.
— Third Bond Realm: Opening for the 3rd Familiar. A drastic increase in longevity.
— Astral Domain Realm: The cultivator creates an energy field where their familiars fight at full power.
— Fourth Bond Realm: Allows for a 4th Familiar. The cultivator becomes a major political and military power.
— Jade Transcendence Realm: The penultimate stage. The physical body begins to turn into pure energy.
— Fifth Bond Realm (Sovereign): The pinnacle. The cultivator signs their 5th and final Familiar. Only legends and world leaders reach this level.

Summoning Categories (Familiar Rarity)
During a summoning ritual—often performed via "Contract Stone" ancient altars—the quality of the familiar is defined by its lineage and Chi purity:
— Common (White): Adapted urban creatures like Neon Foxes or Shadow Cats. They possess basic utility or light combat skills.
— Rare (Green): Beings with a clear spiritual lineage, such as Gale Hawks or Cinnabar Wolves. They possess sharp intelligence.
— Epic (Blue): Creatures that can shift forms. Mist Serpents that can transform into weapons or armor for the cultivator.
— Legendary (Purple): Beasts mentioned in ancient texts, like Lesser Qilins or Lotus Phoenixes. They can speak human languages and have their own cultivation techniques.
— Divine (Gold): Unique entities. Celestial Dragons, White Tigers of the West, or Avatars of Ancient Gods. Owning one of these guarantees a place among the world's elite.

— Humanoid beings: Rarely, the summoned familiars may appear in humanoid forms, be they angels, demons, dragons, or other beasts that possess human form and intelligence. Only creatures of Epic level and above can possibly come in human form, but these are rare cases.

— Familar levels: Beasts summoned as familiars do not exceed the level of their summoner; even creatures above Epic level will appear at Seed level or at most Resonance realm And they will evolve with their masters.

— Metamorphosis of Beasts: Beasts tend to undergo metamorphosis as they rise in cultivation level alongside their masters. Upon reaching the 3rd and 4th Realms of the Bond, they evolve, undergoing a physical metamorphosis and a rank evolution. When they reach the 8th and 9th Realms, they evolve once more. These metamorphoses can be influenced by the objects they devour or by the specific cultivation styles of their masters.

The Golden Rule
No one is born with five familiars. You start at Level 2 with one, and every new contract is a gamble: if your soul is not strong enough for the next level of cultivation, the new familiar may devour your Chi, causing a "Fire Deviation" that destroys your mind.
