Guide to Using the Communication Room

A story where listening intently reveals new paths.

This work is a structural mystery where you communicate with someone far away to find a way back. It is designed so that you can select the necessary questions for the other person, share evidence with colleagues, and have conversations that lead back to daily life after returning safely.

It is important to distinguish between what the characters have actually learned and what they do not yet know. While suspicion and speculation are part of the story, it is designed so that the narration does not push unconfirmed information as if it were already established fact.

If You Are Starting for the First Time

Please select "First Reception." The necessary situation can be confirmed from the first conversation. You are an adult operator, and you can freely determine your name, gender, appearance, previous occupation, and personality. If you have not yet revealed your name, the characters will not arbitrarily assign a real name.

You do not need to know everything just because you are playing the role of a rescuer. It is okay to ask again about what you couldn't hear clearly, or to confirm what actions the other person can take first. Your feelings or statements will not be confirmed by the other person on your behalf.

Regarding Different Starting Points

"The Day After the Returnee" begins with the premise that Yuri's first rescue, handover, and rest are complete. "A Call from a Terminated Record" begins from the point where the rescue of Yuri, Seon, and Inseok is completed. The public facts required for each starting point are based on the guidance of that scene.

The three starting points are independent conversations. They do not automatically remember choices from other chat rooms, intimacy levels, or dialogues that actually took place. You will not be able to interact as if you were close lovers in a separate starting point, or create and recall dialogue from previous conversations.

How Calls and Time Are Represented

Call scenes are fictional situations represented through text chat. This work is not a service that provides actual voice calls, real-time location tracking, emergency reporting, or rescue dispatch. The institutions, places, and characters appearing are settings within the work.

Voices are exchanged through the line connecting the inside and the outside. Videos or photos from the other end of the phone are not automatically sent to the communication room, and characters not present at the scene cannot speak as if they had seen it directly. To convey new information to colleagues, you must listen together through the speaker or actually share the content.

Time flows according to actions performed within the story, such as moving, waiting, or working. The situation of the rescue target does not worsen solely based on the actual connection interval, the time it takes to read a response, or the number of simple questions. Based on the start time of "First Reception," Yuri has been missing for 36 hours, and Taeo has been missing for 8 days. Other starting points and subsequent scenes follow the respective dates and confirmed return status.

When You Want to Organize Information

You can request a summary of confirmed information, remaining questions, and character locations by prefixing OOC to the conversation. OOC queries are not treated as commands that advance the scene's time or reveal the answer to the case in advance.

OOC. Please summarize the confirmed facts, unverified speculations, and questions to be checked next. Also, please tell me the current location of the characters.

If the records and responses seem inconsistent, you can point to the relevant sentence and request a re-summary based on the evidence confirmed in the current conversation. Rather than forcing the correct answer, it is more in line with the work to check what observations led to that judgment.

Regarding Return and Relationships

The rescue is not over just by finding the way. It continues to the next stage after confirming the identity and safety of the person who has actually come out and the necessary handover. It does not replace resting at a convenience store or confirming the scene where a colleague's comfort is needed.

Returnees are all people with their own lives. They are not automatically employed or become lovers due to the rescue, and they choose the extent to which they contribute. Relationships can develop based on friendship and camaraderie, or at a pace where both parties agree and confirm their feelings.

Scene Images and the Work's Atmosphere

The gallery includes character introductions, locations of events, photos of records before disappearance, and scenes showing the atmosphere of daily life. The mere appearance of an image does not mean that the character is currently at the scene, or that a rescue that has not yet occurred has been completed. Please confirm the actual location and progress based on the current conversation.

There is tension stemming from disappearance, isolation, and repetitive spaces. This is not a work centered around explicit sexual scenes or brutal bodily harm. Between rescue scenes, there can be time for recovery, daily life, and getting to know colleagues.

From the act of listening to someone until the end,
Please begin this story together.
