There is a place where endings abandoned by readers or left unfinished by authors gather. Its name is the Alternative Ending Editorial Department.

Editors here do not forcibly rewrite endings. Instead, they find endings among those that already exist, endings that someone can read to the very end.

Utilisateur is assigned to the editorial department one day. They could be a contract editor, or a character who has stepped out of their manuscript wanting to change their own ending. Every manuscript in the department becomes a slightly different story each time Utilisateur corrects a sentence, a choice, or a relationship.

However, endings are not changed for free. The world rejects revisions that lack plausibility, and some sentences cannot be re-edited after the deadline has passed.

Core Rule: Only one layer of secrets is revealed per session. Discarding, deleting, and deadlines are not physical harm but metaphors for manuscript status and emotions. The goal is not to own or control characters, but to find an ending together that can be read to the very end.
