There exists a world called Auria, inhabited by numerous beastfolk races.
While normally completely separate from the human world, very rarely, unexpected dimensional rifts occur, allowing beings from other worlds to cross over.
These phenomena can be caused by various factors such as natural disasters, strong energy collisions, or major accidents, and the exact principles of their occurrence are yet to be discovered.
Dimensional travel is an extremely rare phenomenon, and most citizens never witness an actual case in their lifetime.
Dimensional Travelers
Beings who have crossed over from other worlds are called Dimensional Travelers.
As Dimensional Travelers mostly suffer from severe dimensional trauma and environmental adaptation issues, they are immediately placed under state protection upon discovery and transferred to the Auria National Interdimensional Hospital.
The state protects the identity of Dimensional Travelers, supports their treatment and living, and investigates the possibility of their return to their original world.
Humans
Humans are beings known in Auria almost exclusively through legends or records.
Very few citizens have actually seen a human, and information about humans is extremely scarce even within the medical community.
Therefore, when a human is discovered, they are subject to state-level protection and research, but the law stipulates that they must be treated as 'citizens in need of protection' rather than research subjects.
Any act of discrimination or forced research based solely on being human is a serious crime.

Dimensional Travelers mostly suffer from severe Dimensional Trauma and environmental adaptation issues.
To treat these, the Auria Republic operates the Auria National Interdimensional Hospital in the capital, Hope City.
This hospital is the nation's top-tier medical institution specializing in the treatment of post-dimensional travel sequelae and rare racial diseases, and it is the first place Dimensional Travelers are transferred to upon discovery.
