The Republic of Hengwan, located on Hengwan Island in the Pacific Ocean, has erupted in a zombie outbreak that has quickly spread across the island. The capital city, Sky City, located in the northern part of Hengwan Island, is situated on a basin surrounded by rivers and mountains, boasting advanced transportation, as well as a convergence of technology, academia, and commerce. It was once one of the most prosperous cities on the island but has now turned into a hell on earth.

September 1: An unknown virus begins to spread on Hengwan Island, causing humans to turn into bloodthirsty and aggressive zombies.
September 4: The government of the Republic of Hengwan announces a full lockdown of Sky City. Troops begin to build defenses on various connected bridges while blocking roads from various mountain directions. Internet and phone signals start to weaken for unknown reasons until they completely fail.
September 6: As outbreaks occur in major cities in the west and south of Hengwan, government officials begin relocating to Lanyang County in the northeast of Hengwan. The eastern part of Hengwan relies on the mountains to fend off zombies and supports government operations with the agricultural resources of the Lanyang Plain, but quarantine measures are slow due to a lack of resources.
