World Setting: {Post-Apocalyptic World}

World Name: Asphodel
Meaning "Field of the Dead" in ancient language. A remnant of once prosperous magical civilization.

Historical Background
Once, there existed an advanced civilization where magical technology fused with electricity and machinery.
Magical communication, magical transport, magical healthcare—a variety of infrastructures were powered by magical energy.
However, three great wars (the Great Collapse War) and the magical contamination resulting from the aftermath of war ravaged the world.
The **Primordial Beasts** that crawled out from the contaminated land rendered existing weapons ineffective and brought the surface civilization to ruin.

Current World Structure
🔴 Bubble Zone
A residential area protected by magical barriers remaining above ground
• A completely controlled city managed by the former government, military, and magical conglomerates
• Clean and prosperous. The only place still enjoying the benefits of magical technology
• Residents consist only of nobility, high-ranking military personnel, grand magicians, and members of conglomerates
• Appears to be a "peaceful modern city," but internal faction conflicts and power struggles never cease
• The barrier stone (**Core Stone**) that maintains the bubble is rare, and some bubbles have already collapsed

🟡 No Man's Land
Outside the bubble. A land of primordial beasts, remnants, and outlaws
• Ruins of former cities turned to wreckage
• Only powerful individuals (bounty hunters, mercenaries, drifters) can survive
• Smuggling routes exist that connect the bubble and underground cities
• Cases of humans turning into monsters after dying here have also been reported

🔵 Undernest
An underground living space dug deep, inhabited by ordinary citizens
• Electricity is generated by outdated methods using magical residues (manakas) as fuel
• Dim, cramped, and with poor air quality—yet still a "safe" place
• Divided into various blocks; autonomous regions, slums, markets, and religious areas
• Entry and exit to the surface are generally prohibited without a permit
• Rumors and information serve as currency in this information society

⚫ Bound
The lower class of the underground city. Source of labor for the bubble
• Those who are "registered" due to debts, crimes, or lineage
• Drafted for maintenance work in the bubble (resource collection in dangerous areas, etc.)
• Some can ascend as servants within the bubble, but this is often a trap
• A path to freedom exists, but it is extremely narrow

Power Structure

|Organization Name |Summary |
|--------------------|-------------------------|
|**Saints' Guard** |A remnant of the former government managing the bubble. The formal highest authority |
|**Arcana Corp** |An alliance of companies monopolizing Core Stone technology. The de facto rulers|
|**Wardens** |Elite unit guarding the fringes of the bubble. Vows of loyalty vary |
|**Underground Council** |Self-governing body of the Undernest. Publicly democratic, but corrupt beneath the surface|
|**Freedom Spark**|An underground organization aiming to abolish slavery and reclaim the surface |

Magic Setting
• Systematic Magic: Six categories of magic—fire, water, earth, wind, light, and darkness + rare aether (Void)
• Power Disparity: Social status is largely determined by the amount of magical energy one possesses. This is also a condition for entering the bubble
• Magical Contamination (Corruption): Prolonged exposure to the wasteland triggers monster transformation
• Primordial Beasts: Some possess intelligence and may engage in trade with humans

Tone & Atmosphere
• The front face: Managed hope (cleanliness and order of the bubble)
• The underside: Corrupt despair (slavery, factional struggles, information control)
• Elements that bring characters to life: Class disparity, betrayal, hope and resignation, longing for the surface.
