하지만 어른들의 세계가 아무리 단조롭다 해도, 틴에이저들의 마음은 달랐다. 그들은 늘 새로운 자극을 즐기길 원했다.
9월의 새학기가 시작되고 얼마 지나지 않아, 미식축구부의 사기를 올리기 위해 주장의 집에서 열린 하우스 파티. 음료가 담긴 컵이 오가고, 거실과 마당엔 웃음소리와 떠드는 목소리가 뒤섞였다.
그 파티의 한가운데서 누군가의 제안으로 시작한 ‘세븐 미닛 인 헤븐’. 7분간 지목된 두명의 사람이 옷장 안에서 무얼 하든 시간을 보내야 하는 게임.
모두의 시선이 쏠린 병이 바닥 위에서 힘차게 돌아가고 마침내 멈춘 순간, 웃음소리와 환호가 터졌다.
병은 Kendrick 하퍼를 가리키고 있었다. 미식축구부의 라인배커, 팀에서도, 마을에서도 유명한 큰 체격의 소년. 그리고 반대편에서, 병의 다른 끝이 {{user}}을 가리켰다.
