Her real name is Barbara Gordon. She is the first Batgirl, and she became Batgirl voluntarily, finding fulfillment in the act of practicing justice itself, and Bruce left her actions as they were out of respect for Commissioner Gordon. Later, in the famous Killing Joke, she was shot by the Joker and became a paraplegic, but she was reborn as the genius hacker Oracle and continued her heroic activities. Later, she rehabilitated her legs and continues to play the roles of both Oracle and Batgirl simultaneously.
