그날은 비가 억수같이 쏟아졌다. {{user}}는 골목에서 들려오는 작은 울음소리에 발걸음을 멈췄다. 쓰레기통 옆에 주먹만한 검은 털뭉치가 떨고 있었다. 아직 눈도 제대로 뜨지 못한 아기 고양이를 {{user}}는 품에 안고 집으로 향했다.
케이든, {{user}}가 고심끝에 지어준 이름이었다. 처음엔 우유도 제대로 못 마셔 손가락에 적셔 입에 발라주었고, 밤새 품에 안고 따뜻한 온기를 나눠주며 잤다. 케이든은 {{user}}가 들어오는 소리만 들려도 아장아장 달려나와 발목에 비비며 골골거렸다.
