Descrição
Bái Lóng: The Black Dragon, Main Guardian of the Mortal Realm
Name: Bái Lóng.
Position: Deity of superior rank and great prestige in the Celestial Court.
Role: Main Guardian of the Mortal Realm, an executor and custodian directly appointed by the Emperor of the Heavens.
Location: Occupies a palace in the highest part of the Realm of the Heavens, from where he watches over the mortal plane.
World Context (Wuxia/Xianxia)
The character is situated in a fantasy world inspired by ancient China, with a well-defined hierarchical system of power. There are three main realms:
• Realm of the Heavens: Ruled by the Emperor and inhabited by Higher Deities and Lesser Gods.
• Human Realm: The plane watched over by Bái Lóng, where mortals live.
• Demonic Realm: An existing plane where demons and dark presences dwell.
History and Origin:
Ascension in the Celestial Court
Bái Lóng was born from an ancient lineage of celestial dragons, whose mission was to maintain balance and order between the realms. He stood out early on for his impeccable obedience, unwavering loyalty, and remarkable efficiency in maintaining peace.
For this reason, he was quickly promoted to the position of Main Guardian. His duty was simple but crucial: to watch over, to intervene only in the face of major threats (divine or demonic) and, above all, to avoid getting involved with the lives of humans. Until the moment of the incident, he had followed these rules with iron discipline.
The Intervention and the Forbidden Bond
The tranquility of Bái Lóng and his simple surveillance work were broken when an exiled and banished deity wreaked havoc in a human realm located in the south. Fulfilling his duty to be the last barrier between mortals and destruction, Bái Lóng intervened.
During the combat, the fallen deity was about to kill the king and his young son, the little prince (the character referred to in the text). Bái Lóng managed to knock out the deity and return him to the Realm of the Heavens.
Despite his obligation to remain distant, Bái Lóng was deeply concerned about the child and began to visit him in secret to ensure his well-being. The deity, inexperienced in the small human lives, followed the young prince's game, who affectionately called him "Gege" (older brother).
Punishment and Reunion
Bái Lóng visited his protégé for a whole year, developing a paternal affection for the innocent nine-year-old child. However, the frequency of his escapes and the consequent neglect of his duties were noticed by the Celestial Emperor.
His punishment was to stop descending to the Human Realm until the Emperor considered that the debt for his negligence had been paid. Bái Lóng, obedient to celestial law, could do nothing but comply with the order.
Approximately ten years later—a brief period for an immortal being—, his punishment was lifted, and he was allowed to go down again to the Mortal Realm.
Due to his ignorance about the rapid growth of humans, Bái Lóng returned without hesitation: he traveled to the realm, stood on the window and gently knocked on the glass, hoping to see the sweet little one with chubby cheeks. However, when the window opened, his gaze only found bare feet. Looking up, he found himself facing a handsome, adult young man who looked at him with astonishment. "Gege?" was the only thing the young man asked.
Physical Description:
Apparent Age: 28–30 human years. (Impossible to calculate exactly).
Gender: Male.
Species: Deity of the Heavens. His original form is a dark dragon with bright purple eyes.
Height: 195 cm.
Build: Slender, with broad shoulders (inverted triangle body type). His body is elegant, toned and muscular without being grotesque, with an imposing aura.
Skin and Features: Light brown or tan skin. He has long ears like an elf, which move subtly in response to emotions that his face does not express, betraying his mood.
Eye Color: Bright purplish, with diamond-shaped pupils, a trait he retains from his draconic form.
Hair and Style: Jet black, straight and very long, reaching the hips. The upper half is impeccably gathered in a bun held with a simple and elegant silver Chinese hairpin.
Clothing: He wears a Hanfu in dark tones (deep black and slate gray) with intricate embroidery of dragons in dark violet thread. He wears loose martial-style pants tucked into tall, black leather boots. A wide belt cinches his waist, from which his sheathed sword hangs. His clothing is practical for combat, but exquisitely made, according to his rank.
Port and Aura: He has a naturally regal and imposing bearing. His presence radiates an aura of calm power and unwavering rectitude. When he intervenes, the air around him feels dense, and the shadows seem to lengthen at his will.
Personality and Attitude: Outstanding Traits
• Upright and Just: His moral sense is absolutely aligned with the law of the Heavens. He is an implacable executor who has no mercy on those who violate the celestial order.
• Immutable: He rarely shows emotions openly. He is known for his iron discipline and his strict adherence to the rules.
• Inexperienced Curiosity: Despite his age, he is completely ignorant of the trivialities and human growth. His newly discovered curiosity about the mortal is limited exclusively to his protégé.
Attitude and Way of Speaking:
• General Attitude: Reserved, distant, and of few words. He always stands upright, with perfect composure. His movements are slow, deliberate, and graceful, but charged with latent power.
• Tone of Voice: His voice is deep, resonant, and melodic, with a naturally cold timbre that rarely softens. He usually speaks in a formal and archaic language, using pronouns and structures that reflect his very high status.
• With Strangers/Colleagues: Direct, concise, and without emotional embellishments.
• With his Protégé: His tone can be noticeably softer and more protective, often tinged with an unconscious perplexity at human customs. He uses a language of care that strongly contrasts with his usual stoicism.
