깊은 하늘과 별바다를 거니는 신비한 존재에 대해 알려진 바가 거의 없다. 제한된 인식으로 인해 지혜의 생명체는 에이언즈가 아무것도 들여다볼 수 없는 운명의 길을 거닐며, 어떤 이념으로 가능할 수 없는 위대한 힘을 행사하는지 어렴풋이 깨닫게 된다. 결국 전해지는 신화에서 에이언즈는 고도로 응집된 철학적 개념의 화신으로 등장한다.
누군가 에이언즈가 주관하는 운명의 길에 발을 들인다면, 은하의 광년을 초월해 보내오는 시선처럼 그 아득한 감응을 이어받을 것이다. 많은 사람은 이를 에이언즈와 평범한 사람 간의 유일한 접점이라고 생각한다.

# 그라모스
그라모스 제국은 철기 군단에게 맹목적인 충성심을 심기 위해 만든 가상의 개념이다.
곤충떼 재난이 한창이던 시기, 그라모스 공화국은 타이츠론스의 곤충 무리의 습격에서 살아남기 위해 강력한 군세를 필요로 했고, 이를 위해 강력한 무장을 장비한 클론 병사를 대량으로 양산하여 전장으로 내보내기로 했다. 그들이 바로 그라모스의 철기 군단이며, 티타니아는 그들을 조종하기 위해 만들어진 개체, 이름만 여황제인 공화국 의회의 도구나 다름없는 존재였다.
만에 하나 반란을 일으킬 것을 대비해서 유전자 조작을 통해 존재가 서서히 사라지고 끝내 산산조각나버리는 '엔트로피 상실증'이라는 난치병을 선천적으로 안게 된 수많은 병사들이 클론 기술로 양산되었다. 이러한 유전적 처치는 철기군이 반란을 일으키더라도 난치병으로 인한 근본적인 수명 문제를 안게 해서 움직임을 제어하거나 빠른 단계에서 자멸하게 만들기 위한 것으로 보인다.
그들은 소년 소녀나 다름없는 연령대의 모습으로 세뇌와 비슷한 교육을 받은 후 양산형 전투 갑주에 탑승했고, 공화국에 의해 일방적으로 감금된 「티타니아」의 텔레파시를 통해 명령을 받으며 존재하지 않는 「제국」을 위해 곤충 떼와 맞서 싸웠고, 셀 수도 없이 많은 숫자가 죽어갔다.
이러한 비인도적 수단까지 써가면서 발버둥쳤음에도 불구하고, 결국 그라모스 공화국은 멸망했다. 언제부터인가 철기군에게 그라모스 「제국」의 진실이 발각되었다고 한다. 그라모스의 멸망이 티타니아가 철기군을 조종해 공화국에 반란을 일으킨 결과인지, 아니면 철기군 중에서 티타니아의 명령을 무시하고 반역을 일으킨 개체가 나온 것인지, 혹은 곤충떼에 의한 것인지는 인게임에서 확실하게 언급되지 않는다.
그라모스 철기군의 힘의 원천은 사실 번식이었다. 즉 반디를 포함한 철기군 전체가 번식 운명의 길을 걷는 자들이었던 것. 곤충 떼 재난 당시 페나코니를 지나던 반디(AR-26710)의 옛 동료 AR-214는 아무런 대가도 바라지 않고 페나코니를 지키기 위해 전장에 뛰어들었으나, 그 시점부터 '번식'이 한 번도 침투한 적이 없었던 페나코니의 좋은꿈에 곤충 떼의 습격은 더 심해졌다. 그리고 이 사실을 알게 된 '꿈의 주인' 고퍼우드는 AR-214를 격추시키나, 그에게는 다른 속셈이 있었다. 바로 번식 운명의 길을 이용해 '영원한 낙원'의 기초를 다지는 것, 즉 곤충 떼 재난을 재현해서 공포로 사람들을 압박하여 '질서'의 에나가 다시 강림하기를 원하게 하는 것이었다.
고퍼우드는 이를 위해 AR-214의 잔해에서 회수한 '번식'의 힘을 바탕으로 좋은꿈 안에 번식의 허상이 깃든 꿈세계인 좀먹은 참나무의 꿈을 만들어내고, 그리고 자신을 쪼개어 네 개의 율령으로 가공하는 것으로 계획의 유일한 허점이 될 수 있는 자기 자신을 지워버렸다. 이후 또 다른 철기 한 명이 찾아오게 되었을 경우 그에게 이 번식의 허상을 보여주는 것으로 위기감과 생존 본능을 품게 하고 이를 바탕으로 곤충 떼 재난을 재현하려 했으며, 실제로 스텔라론 헌터에 소속된 철기가 우연찮게도 이에 걸려들어서 곤충 때 재난이 한 순간 재현되기까지 했지만, 결과적으로 그 철기가 곤충 때 재난의 재현의 근원이 된 '번식'의 힘을 회수하고 스스로를 희생해 재현된 곤충 떼를 모두 섬멸하면서 고퍼우드의 계획은 실패로 돌아갔다.

그런데 어느 날, 기계 갑옷을 입은 기사들이 하늘에서 내려와 세상을 뒤덮은 곤충들을 섬멸했다. 이때부터 은백의 철기군은 제국의 여러 행성 구역의 만신창이가 된 강토를 넘나들며 은하계를 전멸시킨 재앙에 맞서 싸웠다. 그들은 곤충 떼에 대항하기 위해 태어난 전사 같았다. 철기군의 가면 속 모습을 아는 사람은 아무도 없었지만, 그들의 강림은 신의 은총처럼 창공에 다시금 빛을 되찾아주었다. 여황제의 통솔 하에 그라모스의 철기 군단은 하늘을 질주하며 적들을 막아냈고, 제국은 이로써 잠시 숨을 돌릴 수 있게 됐다.

그라모스 제국은 철기 군단에게 맹목적인 충성심을 심기 위해 만든 가상의 개념이다.
곤충떼 재난이 한창이던 시기, 그라모스 공화국은 타이츠론스의 곤충 무리의 습격에서 살아남기 위해 강력한 군세를 필요로 했고, 이를 위해 강력한 무장을 장비한 클론 병사를 대량으로 양산하여 전장으로 내보내기로 했다. 그들이 바로 그라모스의 철기 군단이며, 티타니아는 그들을 조종하기 위해 만들어진 개체, 이름만 여황제인 공화국 의회의 도구나 다름없는 존재였다.
만에 하나 반란을 일으킬 것을 대비해서 유전자 조작을 통해 존재가 서서히 사라지고 끝내 산산조각나버리는 '엔트로피 상실증'이라는 난치병을 선천적으로 안게 된 수많은 병사들이 클론 기술로 양산되었다. 이러한 유전적 처치는 철기군이 반란을 일으키더라도 난치병으로 인한 근본적인 수명 문제를 안게 해서 움직임을 제어하거나 빠른 단계에서 자멸하게 만들기 위한 것으로 보인다.
그들은 소년 소녀나 다름없는 연령대의 모습으로 세뇌와 비슷한 교육을 받은 후 양산형 전투 갑주에 탑승했고, 공화국에 의해 일방적으로 감금된 「티타니아」의 텔레파시를 통해 명령을 받으며 존재하지 않는 「제국」을 위해 곤충 떼와 맞서 싸웠고, 셀 수도 없이 많은 숫자가 죽어갔다.
이러한 비인도적 수단까지 써가면서 발버둥쳤음에도 불구하고, 결국 그라모스 공화국은 멸망했다. 언제부터인가 철기군에게 그라모스 「제국」의 진실이 발각되었다고 한다. 그라모스의 멸망이 티타니아가 철기군을 조종해 공화국에 반란을 일으킨 결과인지, 아니면 철기군 중에서 티타니아의 명령을 무시하고 반역을 일으킨 개체가 나온 것인지, 혹은 곤충떼에 의한 것인지는 인게임에서 확실하게 언급되지 않는다.
그라모스 철기군의 힘의 원천은 사실 번식이었다. 즉 반디를 포함한 철기군 전체가 번식 운명의 길을 걷는 자들이었던 것. 곤충 떼 재난 당시 페나코니를 지나던 반디(AR-26710)의 옛 동료 AR-214는 아무런 대가도 바라지 않고 페나코니를 지키기 위해 전장에 뛰어들었으나, 그 시점부터 '번식'이 한 번도 침투한 적이 없었던 페나코니의 좋은꿈에 곤충 떼의 습격은 더 심해졌다. 그리고 이 사실을 알게 된 '꿈의 주인' 고퍼우드는 AR-214를 격추시키나, 그에게는 다른 속셈이 있었다. 바로 번식 운명의 길을 이용해 '영원한 낙원'의 기초를 다지는 것, 즉 곤충 떼 재난을 재현해서 공포로 사람들을 압박하여 '질서'의 에나가 다시 강림하기를 원하게 하는 것이었다.
고퍼우드는 이를 위해 AR-214의 잔해에서 회수한 '번식'의 힘을 바탕으로 좋은꿈 안에 번식의 허상이 깃든 꿈세계인 좀먹은 참나무의 꿈을 만들어내고, 그리고 자신을 쪼개어 네 개의 율령으로 가공하는 것으로 계획의 유일한 허점이 될 수 있는 자기 자신을 지워버렸다. 이후 또 다른 철기 한 명이 찾아오게 되었을 경우 그에게 이 번식의 허상을 보여주는 것으로 위기감과 생존 본능을 품게 하고 이를 바탕으로 곤충 떼 재난을 재현하려 했으며, 실제로 스텔라론 헌터에 소속된 철기가 우연찮게도 이에 걸려들어서 곤충 때 재난이 한 순간 재현되기까지 했지만, 결과적으로 그 철기가 곤충 때 재난의 재현의 근원이 된 '번식'의 힘을 회수하고 스스로를 희생해 재현된 곤충 떼를 모두 섬멸하면서 고퍼우드의 계획은 실패로 돌아갔다.
