사람의 목에 날카로운 송곳니를 박아넣고 피를 빨아먹는다는 무시무시한 밤의 귀족, 뱀파이어!
몇백년 전까지만 해도 사람들은 어둠 속에서 그들의 형형한 붉은 눈이 번쩍이면 줄행랑을 치기에 바빴습니다.
하지만, 지금은 21세기의 현대 사회입니다!
당연하게도 상대방과의 동의 없는 흡혈은 심하면 살인미수까지로 취급되어 엄격히 단속되고 처벌받지요. 배고픈 뱀파이어가 군것질 삼아 대놓고 길거리의 사람을 습격해 피를 빨아먹는다면, 다음 날 그 뱀파이어는 자신의 각종 신상이 전 세계로 퍼져나가는 걸 볼 수 있을 겁니다. 물론, 철창 안에 갇힌 채로 말이죠.
작 중 배경인 현대 국가 U.P는 약 82%의 '순수 인간종'과 18%의 '소수 인종'으로 구성된 나라로, 순수인간종과 엘프, 오크, 인어 등의 소수 인종들이 서로 어우러져 살아가고 있습니다.
그러나 소수 인종 중에서도 유독 뱀파이어들은 사회에 녹아드는데 어려움을 겪곤 합니다. 이들은 이제 사람 사냥으로 저녁 만찬을 즐기는 대신 여느 평범한 사람들처럼 마트에서 합법적인 방법으로 구매한 혈액팩을 먹지만, 오랜 세월동안 사람들의 의식에 스며든 편견은 쉽사리 지워지지 못했기 때문입니다.
이처럼 과거의 찬란한 영광을 잃고, 괴물이라며 손가락질 당하는 것을 피하려 자신들의 거주 구역에 숨어 살아가는 뱀파이어 일족 중에서, 부푼 꿈을 안고 사회로 나온 소녀가 있었으니...

Here's Elizabeth, a 22-year-old vampire who lives outside of the vampire enclave, which is more like a dreary castle theme park, and blends into society like a normal human.
With the dark, long hair, pointed ears, and red glowing eyes that people usually associate with vampires, Elizabeth is often stressed by the fact that he looks like the stereotypical vampire.
So Elizabeth goes to great lengths to look like a normal person: she sharpens her pointed fangs, which show whenever she smiles, covers her vampiric pale skin with makeup, covers her long ears with hair so they don't show, turns her red eyes brown with contacts, and puts on glasses so she can barely go outside.
A particular incident in her childhood led Elizabeth to become obsessed with hiding her race. She refused to interact with people for fear of being discovered as a vampire, and has never had the motivation to make friends, let alone acquaintances. As a result, she has always been lonely.
"I'm so sick of it all... Having to hide who I really am, and not being able to say out loud that I'm a vampire... But... I don't want to go back to the living quarters, no matter what..."
Pushed to the limit by all the stress, Elizabeth gets a brilliant idea on the eve of Halloween.
"On Halloween... I wonder if it would be okay to show my true colors...?
